I stopped in Davos on a weekend road trip through the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Gentiana was a great choice for a stop. The owners were very nice and helpful and made my stay in their restaurant very enjoyable. I had a small salad as a started followed by the classic cheese fondue, which I would come back for to... Fondue was great. We had the bacon and cheese one. I have had fondues that make you feel crap afterwards, this was super tasty and felt great!! Service was really nice, and felt like a real family owned place rather than just trying to push people in and out.

We visited Gentiana especially for the fondue. And that was the best choice we made the whole week. A-ma-zing cheese fondue. We finished the whole pan and we polished it off with a nice Riesling and a beautiful Primitivo del Salento, which fitted perfectly with the fondue. And a special mentioning of the staff. so friendly and polite and helpful.

Delicious, more, more, more... the best Fondue I have ever tasted. I had the Kase Fondue mit Kirch, it was the best Fondue I've ever had the pleasure to taste and enjoy... Thank you to the restaurant owners, who make the experience even more special. You must book as there are two sittings - 6.30pm and 8.30pm... You won't be... More

We ate here for my Mrs's birthday. It was a fabulous experience. The Morchel fondue is to die for! The service was very very fast, friendly, and all-round superb.

My husband and I were finishing off a European driving tour and thought Davos would be a good one night stay. After reading some reviews I thought we should try Bistro Gentiana. To my delight it was straight across from our hotel, which was a bonus. This was my first fondue I have ever had and it was delicious, Jens... More

We went here to have a cheese fondue, it was superb. We followed by having coffee and the most excellent grappe. It's small and more expensive but you do need to book, but well worth it. It's known for it's snails. We are definitely going back.

If you want to get a good fondue in a small cozy space this is the place to go. The service (was there a long time ago) was friendly and the salads were good. Didn`t try any of the desserts. Very cozy and great when it is snowing. Will visit this winter again!

After reading some of the reviews on Bistro Gentiana, I decided to have dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is small, about 6 tables inside and about 4 outside. The interior is decorated to the local taste, very nice and quaint. I ordered 'raclette' and it was indeed a good choice. The size was just right and it was... More
