The dining room is a work of art. Very nice atmosphere. I ordered venison and it was best meal I had in Chur. The proprietor is a bit of a character. I ordered a wine he recommended and he noticed I turned up my nose when I first smelled it. He came back in a minute and asked if I... More

This was recommended to us by Swiss friends. Not easy to find, especially as you can't park in the old town, but excellent food in a traditional setting. Excellent nusslisalad and venison main. A bit quiet, but it was a Monday evening in January. Worth a visit.

The old guild house in the charming historic centre of Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland and capital of Graubünden, the gates to the Alps. Fresh seasonal produce, modern take on traditional cuisine, well cooked and served in a rustic and cosy ambience. Tasty meals accompanied by local wines, regional pinot noir are really good, delicate with a light flavour.

We stopped here for lunch based on recommendations. The food could be described as mediocre at best, truly at best! If you are families with the British comedy Faulty Towers then you have the perfect understanding of this place. Our waitress gave me an ugly look when I dared to try and take her away from her computer to tell... More

Filling and tasty. Not a terribly high price. We tried capons which were very good. Local beer also tasty. Cool old dining room with wood paneling and stained glass medallions.

Its always a nice surprise to find that the place you booked exceeds your expectations. The room was large and had an ensuite. Views from the two windows to the snow capped Alps. The room was on the top level so a bit of a haul with suitcases, a good reason to travel light. Beds were large singles pushed together... More

One of the really good restaurants in Chur! They create local specialities with a creative streak. Especially recommendable: Pizokels (Speciality of Grison). The restaurant has a wonderful terrace in summer and a smoker's bar/lounge on the first floor (all year round).

Parts of the original building remain and have great character. My room with shared bathroom was comfortable, simple and clean. Only one shower and one toilet on the floor though, so queuing might be a problem in season. Restaurant downstairs is popular. Good location for walking about town, with a number of restaurants and bars nearby. My room was hot... More

We went there for diner on a Sunday evening. It was more by chance that we came across this nice place. The interior is very nice and authentic. The friendly staff was very attentive and the service outstanding. The menu came with traditional Swiss food and nice selection of wine. Overall, the food was excellent and the price tag at... More
