This is a place to go for meat and cheese lovers, limited options beyond that. Relaxed atmosphere. Service was disappointing, not very friendly and helpful with special requests.

Small, homy restaurant in the middle of the village. We arrived on a cold, snowy day, half frozen, and warmed up with two cups of excellent soup. The Rösti was special and very tasty, so was all the rest. The waitress was very friendly and...More

The restaurant served a variety of local foods at reasonable prices. The service was excellent, as was the food. It had a very lively crowd, which was an indication that others also thought the restaurant was a good choice.

Murren is a small town and dining choices are limited, but Staeger Stuebli provided us with a satisfying Alpine meal. The dining room is a very convivial place with groups enjoying themselves, and the food was delicious. I'm an adventuresome eater willing to try anything,...More
I had the meatball which was wonderful. Possibly the best flavor of any previously consumed. We came for a late lunch and a beer, since most restaurants are closed mid afternoon.
