Just loved the Bains des Dames- where women used to bathe away from public gaze in the 19C. Totally open on to the lake, with several terrasses and just minutes away from the town centre- it is a truly wonderful spot. Service was friendly and efficient with a smile. Three of us had the menu of the day, very reasonable... More

I wanted to experience the Swiss fodue in Switzerland and the Bains des Dames in Neuchatel was recommended as the true epitome of this meal. I went with 2 friends and they explained the intricacies of the Swiss Fondue. The wait staff were elegant and graceful, with English that is better than mine. The cheeses were from Neuchatel, the wine,... More

Enjoyed this restaurant for a lunch with friends during a cold and wet winter day. The lake had huge waves crashing just outside, sometimes even up on the window. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of the candles and (fake) sheep skins on the chairs. The cheese fondue and the open fire really warmed us up. The carte is limited to... More

Cosy place by the lake, good service by a gentle waiter who receives his customer with a kind smile. When the weather is good, this place is a must. The food was excellent and tasty. We paid around 150 chf for 4 people, good value for money. Definitely a place to recommend!

This historic "ladies bathing/changing room" was converted into an spectacular restaurant over the lake. Quirky and worn but it's part of the charm and a la Carte menu provide a perfect setting on the lake but book early ...it's only open circa may to September and gets booked well in advance

Great place to have a drink (or two) and a nice diner. The service is present and active. The food is good and the weekly menu is always a good surprise. I recommend the cold cut platter to share with some drinks.

I'm starting my visit from probably the most challenging time of year for this restaurant - a cold and wet December night. From the land side there's an exterior that looks a little grim, it's next to the tram line and a busy road. However look at the pictures in the summer - an outside eating area that is almost... The special thing here is raw meat! If you like it... perfect. If not, go for the Burger. The staff is friendly and funny. The view over the lake is perfect.

Great view but too expensive... Poor service, low quality of food. They did not even care about our comment about the food that we left in our plates. Apparently they don't need any feedback or they simply do not care about clients' feelings.

This place is a must see and eat. In summer, there is a fantastic outside place to eat just next to the lake... the food is great. In winter, the place very loungy decorated and you can eat all kind of fondue. The staff is very friendly. The trouble is that you may not want to leave....
