I don't speak French but the staff were helpful and friendly in English and it was not a bother for them to explain the menu to me. The food was genuine middle eastern cuisine except that L'Ami Ami is spotless. What a pleasure to eat in a place that they don't do you a favour by serving you.

We visited here on two occaisions during our stay in Neuchatel. My wife is vegan, so it is not easy to find good interesting food. The falafels, humous, smoked aubergine and spicy tomato platter was very tasty, served with fluffy pitta bread. The staff were very friendly and well informed. I would definately recommend this restaurant.

It was one of the first restaurants in town I discovered many years ago and I have been there countless times with family, friends or alone. The levantine / or Israeli type of food is IMO the best in town -- from various dips, salads, falafel, sandwiches or grilled meat -- and everything is housemade (not industrial), thus sometimes taking... I love Israeli cuisine so I am a bit biased when it comes to this place. But honestly, they do the best aubergine dip, falafel and hummus in town. There are vegan and gluten free options. The food is very tasty, most meals come with an amazing oriental salad. Great place for a quick lunch or a nice dinner.

I went to L'ami ami for dinner. From the first moment when the chef opened me the door I felt warm welcomed. Later on when the food was served my thougts have been confirmed. Really delicious mediterian food at reasonable prices in the center of neuchatel. If u looking for something "special" then go there!!

In this restaurant you can taste a bit of Israeli kitchen, something not too common in West Switzerland. The food there is kosher, and I really love their melawouah (I hope you write it like this). If you go there for a pita sandwich, remember that everything is cooked on order and a wait of 15-20 minutes is to be... More

This restaurant is my go to place, when I'm craving oriental food in Neuchâtel. The place is pretty small, but their menu isn't & has a handful of vegetarian dishes. I usually choose their very tasteful Pita Mix.

Arrived here by chance - fantastic food, reasonably priced (by Swiss standards) with great, friendly service and amazing home-made baklava!

We were looking for somewhere to eat and came across this lovely little cafe by chance. We enquired if we could eat as so many restaurants are closed by 2pm and it was 3pm. We were welcomed in, seated and given a menu. The owner ran through the menu with us and we chose and waited for the food to... More
