We've visited Wirtsthaus Galiker after spending the afternoon at the peak of Mt. Titlis. Reservation took no time, as the host was very welcoming and met us with open arms. Overall, the food was up to the high standard that is usually offered to a tourist in Luzern. The price of main corse ranges from 30 to 40 CHF. I... More

I booked at very short notice for a group of about 15 British visitors for June 7th and was forewarned that they may need to offer us a set menu if more than 15 arrive. In the end 20 people came, but they were most welcoming and still offered us the full a la carte choice with a proviso that... More

This 4th generation family owned restaurant provided the best meal both my husband and I had in Lucerne. I had the pot au few - bone marrow, tongue, sausage n brisket in a stew (which is only available Tues / Thurs / Sat(?)) and it was amazing. Hubs had the veal schnitzel w Rosti, also amazing.

Pot au feu is excellent. Great authentic Swiss cuisine at a restaurant that's older than Brisbane. Very friendly - worth the effort.

Very good traditionally restaurant, quality food, prices are reasonable and the owner is so kind. I was there with friends and I had a great time. Its warmth atmosphere and it makes to feel like you are at home. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, but its important to make a reservation before you go there, because its all the... More

After trying 3 times I finally got in but reserved 3 weeks in advance. Very authentic style and a great mixture of people. Food was down to earth swiss food. Very tasty and well prepared like grandma did :-) Nice place if you want something real and relaxed.

Authentic Swiss German dishes in this charming restaurant run by the Galliker family for the past 150 years. The best röesti I think I've ever had. The whole meal was excellent, staff friendly and efficient. A must if you are visiting Luzern!

Here you will find very traditional Swiss dishes and good wine. The atmosphere is amazing since it's very old style. It's quite difficult to find space at night. The prices of dishes are very elevated!

Excellent local food well served by friendly staff. I had a long chat with Mr. Galliker who told me it has been in the Galliker family for four generations. As the restaurant is divided into 3 sections, each section is rather cosy with the main table in the centre being a communal one. A great way to meet and chat... More

I went there by coincidence as it was a little late; some restaurants were already closing or refusing new customers. Very nice building from the outside and the inside; very charming. They kept lots of antique stuff which make the dinning experience even better. The place was crowded and loud but it was OK. I was told that it is... More
