This restaurant has nice interiors and was a change from many of the crowded tourist restaurants in the area. All the dishes were excellent and portions were huge.

Meal ok but experience spoilt by dispute over a jug of tap water. When the bill arrived a charge of 5 francs had been added. Waitress claimed she had filled the jug with bottled water not tap water.

Had the La Fenice folded pizza for dinner. Wife had arrabiata w penne which was delicious. Both portions were sizeable. Also had the buffalo mozzarella w tomatoes for starter. All for CHF65 - good value for money.

La Fenice is in the old city of Lucerne. It offers a full range of pizza, pasta and other Italian main dishes. The restaurant is pleasant with tables spaced far enough apart that it does not feel crowded. The service was good. The oven baked lasagne was a welcome dish on a cool evening in April. The prices were mid-range... More

The pizza with carpaccio recommended by our waiter was unique and quite delicious. And the pasta (penne with venison in a carbonara sauce) was done just right. The only disappointment was the tiramisu -- the cake wasn't moist enough! :-) Reasonably priced - which is more than you can say for most of Lucerne!

A very cosy environment at this restaurant which is very central and easy to find. We got a plate with 3 different types of pasta. Simply amazing!

Went here on the 2nd Jan Meal for two with starter main and wine was about £88. Starters were typical Italian fare and tasty. Mains. Pasta with prawns for me. Cannelloni (spinach and riccotta) for the other half. Again, both served their purpose. Previous reviews say 'wish I'd had the pizza'. I'd had pizza the day before in another restaurant... More

Centrally located, very close to the Lion Monument, fast service, nice pizza. The restaurant has a warm, comfortable inside seating for these cold days!!

I wouldn't say the food was bad but my daughter and I both had prawn dishes, if we had closed our eyes and put a prawn in our mouth we never would have known it was a prawn. Once frozen I think... the pizza looks superb, wish we'd had that...

I took a couple of colleagues from out of town to La Fenice yesterday. The restaurant itself is very central in the main shopping street in Luzern's old town. Inside it's cosy and elegant, but not overstated; the lighting is not too harsh and the decor is wooden and slightly rustic. The pizza kitchen is open to the restaurant seating area,... More
