We stayed in hotel De La Paix for 2 nights and we had the best breakfast there ever. we weren't around during the day to try out the lunch and dinner menus but I am sure that would be awesome too. Special mention for the berry yoghurt with granola and the freshly baked croissants they were to die for.

In a city with a lot of tourist focused restaurants that offer perhaps a Disney version of local culture, the Lapin gives the impression of being genuine. At the time of our visit there seemed to be a number of locals among the clientele. The service was good and the food tasty, and although we weren't tempted by the local... More

Grüezi thank you for your review. Thank you for beeing so real on your comments. Yes we have a lot of locals in our restaurant. Especially during winter time. Our Menue features many swiss dishes or dishes prepared after a old recipe. You can also find a large choice of swiss wines. It is our aim to welcome locals as... More

Had lunch last Saturday. Reception by the head waitress was distant. We didn't feel particularly welcomed. Mistkratzer consisted of 2 wings and two legs. Inquiring about the breast, the waitress informed us, that this is the way their Mistkratzer is served and that she does not know of any other way to serve it, said it and turned on her... More

Grüezi thank you for your time to send us a review. We are sorry you did not like the mistchratzerli. It seams rather strange to serve only wings and legs, but it is the case that the mistchratzerli also named "Stubenkücken" are small. We apologize, if there has been to much salt on the meat. Usually our clients are quiet... More

We tried this place based on TA reviews. We tried the Fritschi's puff pastry pie (pastry filled with meat and vegetables) and a vegetarian pasta. Both were pretty good as was the service. Price is comparable to other Lucerne restaurants.

Our hotel has suggested this restaurant and we were happy of this. Big portions, excellent quality of food and wine, all served quickly but with a lot of style. You must tried the Neptune prawns flambed on your table.

Delicious food. Personable staff. Relaxed atmosphere. I was pregnant at the time and the waitress even brought me a cushion for my back.

The speciality at Lapin is flambé at the table, and it makes for a very interesting piece of theatre. We had the flambé veal, lamb and pork, very good food. Nice bottle of Swiss pinot to accompany the food (the same pinot we enjoyed at a previous restaurant except it was 28CHF cheaper). This is not a stylish restaurant being... More

The Lapin is a family run hotel-restaurant situated in the centre of Lucerne and is one of the city's leading restaurants. It has a cosy, rustic appearance and serves modern European cuisine specialising in regional dishes. The menu offers fish, meat and seafood dishes as well as traditional Swiss Käsespätzli (small dumplings with melted cheese) with chives and pumpkin potato strudel with parsley cream sauce. In addition to the standard menu, the restaurant offers a special every day and extensive 3 to 4 course weekly menus. The speciality of the house are the Ratsherrenspieße (a type of food served en brochette) with various types of meat and vegetables and are served flambéed at your table. Wine lovers can enjoy a selection of international wines to go with their meal. The Lapin also provides a traditional Lucerne setting.
