We rented an apartment near this location. Needed something not too pricey and quick. Food was good, beer was cold, service was quick. Little loud because I think it's a hang out for a younger crowd that mainly drink but that was ok.

Nice and delicious food which is affordable. The ambience is the reason why I very often go to parterre. Young and old and people from all different societies are welcome.

Great food and daily specials. Staff were very friendly and helpful for us confused English speaking tourists. Fun hip atmosphere. Affordable by Swiss standards. Lots of locals eating here. Varied menu.

spacious and relaxed. good service. I had scrambled eggs which were served with a salad. A pleasant meal even though the description 'English breakfast' is a little wide of the mark. You won't find a salad on an English breakfast in England!

I liked the vibe of the place (a neat mix of blue collar and hipster). Food was solid if not spectacular. Beer was good (local breweries). Be warned that it was cash only (or at least cash preferred).

It's a mixed ages crowd, but it seems to get younger after 9pm. Try the Appenzeller Hanfblüte if you like a more flavorful beer than a typical Eickoff. If you go between lunch and dinner they have only a smaller menu. The food is reasonably priced and quite good. They have an outdoor patio, indoor communal table, and pool tables... More

This place is pretty close to our hotel and one of the few which was open on Easter holiday. It turned out to be a surprise package and one of the best lunches I had in Switzerland. The waitress was very good and prompt and the food was just out of the world. Also ordered for desert - Apple pie with... More

Friendly "bohemian" cafe bar for mainly young folk (unlike us!) proved a good choice for a veggie even having what looked to be a dairy and egg free option . Still expensive for fairly basic food but probably not by Swiss standards although there are two cheaper set options at lunch times one of which is veggie.

The negative reviewers must have come on a bad day. This is our second visit and service couldn't be swifter or more agreeable. We're in Lucerne for 9 weeks and have to find evening meal options every day. Eating out has worn quite thin for us, but we discovered Parterre this week and are delighted. Last time two of us...
