Had not visited for some time but it has gone downhill dramatically. Think it is trying to be something it isn't. Difficult to decide what to have and as it was getting busy, lots of people wandering around trying to work out where things were. This resulted in some people overtaking others in the queue. Staff then did not know... More

Dear Dale160, Thank you for taking the time to review Glendoick though I am disappointed with what you've written. I will admit that we are very much at capacity and I am in the process of putting plans together to expand the cafe to improve the flow and queues. This will come to fruition in Spring 2018. I am concerned... More

Had only gone in for a coffee and cake and found the counter service very slow and the large cappucino I had was mostly foam, which I didn't think was made by the most qualified or well trained Barista.

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I'm sorry you were disappointed with the coffee. We have regular barista training but I will check with my manager about why you might have received a more foamy cup. I'm also sorry about the slow service. We are getting to capacity and I'm designing a new... More

Popped in yesterday afternoon for a quick bite with some colleagues on way to Dundee. I'll start with the "not so good" aspects of the visit. First off the ergonomics and customer flow needs to be relooked at as having one menu board in the corner creates confusion and a bottleneck for customers. This was our first time of visiting... Decided to have a snack after wandering around the plant section. After queuing and waiting for a tray, we decided that we would have soup and quickly changed our minds when we saw it was £4.25 a bowl. Ok, a couple of scones and tea for 2 it is then. The scones although tasted ok were dry. Busy place, polite... More

Dear UnspokenWords, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I just wanted to come back to you regarding the soup, for which we are famous. All three of our soups are made from scratch every day from local, seasonal vegetables, served in a large bowl (most think it's a meal in itself) and the price includes a... More

Stopped off en route north for breakfast. Had been several years since our last visit. Hardly recognised it. Been extended. Quality gift and garden centre. Nice restaurant area with good menu. Really happy, friendly staff. Had a great breakfast that set us up for the day, until we passed it again on the way back south and stopped off again... More

Visited the garden centre specifically to get advice about plants, however, decided to have lunch in their café first. The café is self service and at the time we visited - Saturday lunchtime was extremely busy, however, the servery staff were very efficient and promptly attended to us.
