Absolutely loved that place! The decoration is amazing and the food is to die for. You are propelled into a typical Ethiopian village and there really is a feel that is present there. Can only recommend and will probably return! Service was loveliest too!

Interior design of the restaurant is looking so original you wonder if you are still in Geneva. Flexible seesawing, high, low, living room atmosphere. Then deco is incredible, homemade and so authentic. Love their art 'ready mades' in showcases or aquariums, and wallpainting. Then the...food is superb, having also lived in India where food production is a bit similar I can confirm that even the GAZELLE D'OR way of cooking offers the special local kitchen flavor and taste. We took the vegetarian full menu: it was superb, their spinach if fantastic, also the aubergines, bottom per favore the plate is a very large pancake that rip away pice by piece with your hands to pack the dishes. A good address in Geneva for a radical atmosphere change Very friendly and sympathetic personal. Oh! I almost forgot: they have an OUTSTANDING choice of wine grands crus from North of Africa. Ripe and old. Red wine amateurs do not miss it: you can see them exposed in a very professional transparent Eurocave.More

My wife and I have been eating here twice a month for over a year and we have never had a bad experience. We eat from the vegetarian menu and recommend the spicy messer.

We went for early dinner, the place is cool, with a classical east africa style. The food is tasty, but the menu is very confusing. If you go please try the traditional beer !

This was my introducing to Ethiopian and indeed non-Moroccan African cuisine. The service was above and beyond. Owner (?) greeted everyone with a handshake (we washed our hands before going there knowing we'd be eating with our hands...!) XD but they have a nice washroom...so no big deal. The wait staff was very accommodating and answered all our questions without issue. Food came out in a timely fashion. I loved everything I tasted and the waitress's description of the food (spiciness) was accurate. I would go again in a heartbeat!More

Went because we bought Buy Club vouchers. As we were several of us, we took all options on the Ask are menu so got to taste most of the meat, chicken, fish and vegetable dishes. I frankly enjoyed the vegetables a lot. Meats were good....Some food was a bit spicy. This was my first time at an Ethiopian place so eating with morsels of sponge bread from the same platter was a bit strange. We enjoyed cocktails instead of the wine. Great homely African village atmosphere and comfy sofa chairs. Service friendly albeit a bit slow towards the end. One should certainly give it a try. Parking can be challenging!More

Specialised in Ethiopian and Eritrean food, this restaurant offers a wide range of authentic dishes worth giving a try by locals and tourists alike. The food is absolutely amazing and the service impeccable, with very friendly staff. I would recommend trying the Ethiopian beer too...for only CHF 7.More

Have enjoyed Ethiopian meals in Lausanne and around Cornavin and this is certainly one of the best, would work well for small or large groups. Generous helpings with enough spiciness for a European to enjoy the flavours. Friendly staff, a greeting from the "village elder"...and well worth a repeat visit.More

We went at lunchtime, and the atmosphere was a bit tired and listless. The food was good and we may return, but perhaps it's better in the evening.
