Went there for dinner with colleagues. Was not super busy. Food choice rather limited. Service super slow. We never got everything at the same time (we were only 5).

Having booked a nearby restaurant (via Trip Advisor) and then receiving an unexpected cancellation we needed to find an alternative quite quickly. Luckily we discovered Les 5 portes. The service was friendly and efficient and the food served without delay. The place appeared to be full of locals, which I find is always a good barometer of a restaurant's quality.

Sunday brunch at Les 5 portes was very good. The only thing is the place was packed and definitely could have used more staff. The staff looked exhausted. There was not an empty table. Been coming here for years and I think it is time for a little improvement in the decor of the place. I don't think it has... More

Comfortable place, easy-going and yet quiet, nice food, excellent wine, not too expensive for Geneva standards (but expensive in terms of value for money anywhere else...)

Met up with some friends at Les 5 portes. Wine, bread, soup and a very nice beef fillet. Busy place. Quite pleasant.

This restaurant is in a interesting area of Geneva. The food is fine, especially the steak. The desserts were also fine. If you are a tourist, remember that Geneva is an expensive city,

We went for a family diner and were very pleasantly surprised by diner and welcome although we were 1st day after holiday break. Cuisine has diverse inspiration and offer also a vegetarian choice and portion are quite big. The waitress was very efficient, discreet and helpful. Definitively recommend it.

We didn't have long in Geneva, just a day either side of walking in France. It was a huge effort to find places to eat - there are loads to choose from but we wanted something suitable for vegetarians and also a bit special. Having found our destination closed for no apparent reason we walked for a long while looking... More

First, how you are received: we arrived 30 minutes in late (it was raining). We were nevertheless seated with utmost courtesy. A little accident happened: my clumsy partner tipped his glass of champagne, still half full, over my trousers. The staff was extremely helpful cleaning and drying me, and moreover, offered us both a fresh glass to help forget the... More
