It's been a very nice dinner. The best and most delicious Italian pasta and pizza that I ever tasted outside Italy. The waiters are so friendly and polite. They speak English fluently, in case one doesn't speak French.

One might find that kind restaurants everywhere in Geneva with one exception: pasta siciliana. This special dish makes it totally worth of coming here. That was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had!

We visited La Trattoria restaurant on a recent short break to Geneva, with two good friends. It was recommended to us by the owner of the apartment, which we were renting nearby. The restaurant is unpretentious and homely, just the way we like it! The food was good and wholesome, with plenty of choice of pizzas and pastas. Our group... More

A block from the Cornavin station is a Geneva institution of no-frills Italian cuisine. The portions of their pasta are generally huge when ordered as a main course (prima piatti). Pizzas are likewise large, typical of Italian pizzas; the crust tends to be crispy here in case it matters to you. The food you get gives the impression that it... More

I have been going to La Trattoria for maybe 15 years now. It's always good. I am always tempted by their Pizza's, but I only had one over the years. When I am in Geneva, I need to get some Penne a la Siciliana, which is their signature dish! Back in the day it was not even on the menu... More

If you manage to leave this restaurant hungry, you should start worrying about your health. Calling the servings generous would be a considerable euphemism. But quantity is also supported by quality: Tonino's crew simply knows what rustic italian food is supposed to taste like and handles the ingredients with passion. The decor is a bit on the tacky side, but... More

You can get rustic pizzas, heaping mounds of pasta and delightful ravioli and fish dishes. Wine and beer also abound. Some wait staff understand English but do not speak it, so you may want to brush up on your Italian or French.

I loved this Resturant. It wasn't a fine dining experience and possibly I would like a touch more garlic but this lunch hit the spot. This Resturant is the Italy you want to experience. Locals and kids were munching down. The wine was fine. Thank you from the two Australians with limited French and Italian. Snow in the car park... More

In the last 25 year, it has not changed a bit as a demonstration that good things endure time. The baffuto “moustached” owner advice you on the menu with the unique genuine touch of the Southern Italians. What more you need?

I tested pasta and was not very tasteful. The service is ok but very basic (you still need to ask for bread, etc.)
