This is a beautiful restaurant with great cachet, great terrace, great staff, great food. It's not the most obvious location compared with other more central places but bus number 3 is 20 yards away (petit saconnex stop) and Intercontinental hotel and bus stop (number 5) are both a 5 mn stroll away. Home feel + countryside feel (when sitting outside... More

Cafe du Soleil is a not-so-hidden jewel in the International area of Geneva. An easy bus ride (just ~10 minutes from the Lakefront), which lands you less than a block from the Cafe. The fondue, steak and frites, and the bread are all delicious. The wait staff are very accommodating and friendly. Most speak some English (we needed that) and... More

Make sure that you eat here if you want delicious fondue. However the inside of the restaurant feels very different than the terrace. I would recommend calling ahead and getting a table on the terrace which is quaint and relaxing. The desserts were also delicious we had a pair sorbet and the meringue.

After having been in Geneva for a week without fondue, we opted to celebrate our daughter's birthday at Cafe du Soleil. In her words aka my words "This is the BEST fondue EVER!" We made rezzies, thankfully, as the place was completely full by 7:45. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and informative and included a lit candle on our daughter's... More

The food was good. The place however is small, so make sure to book a table if you are planning to visit on a weekend. A place to visit if you want good fondue.

Excellent service, even without a reservation. We were lucky enough to snag an outside table for myself, my husband, and our toddler son. The waitress was lovely, brought out son markers to color, and was impressive throughout. The fondue was phenomenal! We also had the steak with pepper sauce and ham/cheese omelette. Everything was great. Please try the meringue!

This is an unmissable classic of French Swiss cuisine. The fondue, the malakoff, the mereingue with creme de gruyere are all just sumptuous,

I have to admit I was taken in by the hype of Fondue from Cafe Du Soleil but I was seriously disappointed. The menu was confusing for those trying fondue for the first time. I wasn't sure if I should order anything to dip in the fondue or if the fondue comes with it already. Getting the attention of the... More
