It was worth the wait in the queue. I had the the seafood pasta as I would recommend it. The service was very fast considering the amount of people there

We had dinner with some italians and locals. Dishes are absolutely overpriced and do not please have the subconscious reaction to say “ These are Geneva’s standards” since a dish of pasta can’t be litterally cost more than 48 CHF especially when it result overcooked!...There is a small selection of dishes. By the way the ambience is absolutely mesmerizing with nice pictures on the wall and an accurate decorations. As a conclusion, I would never come back neither suggest it to others italians guest…More

This place is brilliant. I was given a surprise birthday cake at home (through home delivery) by friends from this place. The cake was so delicious I organised to come to the bakery in Plainpalais with more friends. They are very good at baking and...the usage of honey in many of the cakes is extremely well done. I had the heart cake delivered to my home and this was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten and probably in the top 5 food experiences I have had across the world. This was a moment where I took a bite and had to actually pause because it was so good. However, it is very rich so perhaps not for everyone but perfect for me in small amounts. We tried about 4 items on the menu and it was all made very well. The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I have ever made and were delicious. Very good Russian salad as well. The cakes were very well made and served in very generous portions so I would split the cakes next time with my friends. In store I tried the carrot cake and the Russian nut - both great - the carrot cake was the best I tried in Geneva and probably in the whole of Switzerland. In addition, the cakes were so good, one of my friends bought 3 more just to show to another of his friends who owns a bar in the city and could also sell them. I have read some reviews stating this is not good value for money but overall I was very happy. If I am very hungry for savory food then perhaps I would go elsewhere where the selection is bigger and then come to Christie's for dessert but the savory food that was on offer is very good here. The cakes are excellent value for money, they are some of the best in Geneva and totally worth the price. The service was the only part that was average, a bit of a slow waiter even though there were only 2-3 tables with customers but by no means bad serviceMore

La Favola is a very quaint restaurant located in the old town area of Geneva. It’s a bit of an uphill walk to get there but definitely worth it. It’s a smallish restaurant, when you enter you find that there are very few tables. The...staff tell you that the table you have booked is upstairs. Only then do you realize that there is an extremely narrow spiral stairway that you need to go up. Once you get there, an old world charm hits you. The wooden beams on the ceiling, a few paintings and quaint candle holders create a very comfortable atmosphere even on a cold, rainy night. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, always willing to suggest a good wine or dish when asked for. The food is fresh and the aroma makes you really hungry. It is vegetarian friendly as well.We had the artichoke salad and the ricotta ravioli which were very good. It’s on the expensive side but the ambience, service and quality of food compensates well for the price. I would strongly advice making a reservation before hand and if you can’t climb up the spiral stairways, ask for a seating downstairs.More

We have been traveling and had some great meals, but our group unanimously agreed this was the best. Wonderful service, great burrata salad, grilled artichokes. The steak was cooked to perfection, and one of the best ever. I had lemon ricotta with scallops and it...was delicious. Others had duck thigh and Osso buco. We felt welcome and cozy and had a great time. Perfection in Old Geneva. Highly recommend.More

Visited as a family of 4. Lovely little place, only a few tables on the ground floor, more upstairs. The doors were open so it was almost like dining in the open, which was nice for a warm evening. Charming ambience. Very short menu, 4-5...choices of starters, pasta and mains, with an additional special for each type. We had burrata salad to start - huge and creamy, scallops, and prosciutto. Then mains, I had osso bucco with saffron risotto which was lovely, subtle flavours, others had the pasta special, scallops, and steak - all very good. We couldn't resist dessert, Panna cotta and almond parfait. Lovely meal, expensive as is all Geneva but attention to detail and flavour made it stand out. I'd recommend, though maybe not with small kids!More

The restaurant is located in the old town of Geneva in a quite small street, away from mass tourism. It offers great Italian food and it is a nice place for romantic dinners. Prices are "normal" for Geneva, - so expensive - but reasonable compared...to other restaurants in Geneva. The service is great and the wine list is good.More

Each year I visit Geneva, I'm blessed to return to this truly amazing restaurant. The main hostess always guides my meal selections, with whatever is most seasonal. This year it was the venison rack with a first course of burrata salad. Both were absolutely divine....To finish with the tiramisu was the capper on the evening. I just can't say enough good things about my meal here again this trip. As usual, reservations are a must, I was there on Friday evening at 7:30, but the time I departed at 8:45, both the upstairs and downstairs were fully stocked with people. It is quaint, it isn't the most affordable, but as a splurge, I can't recommend it enough.More

Cute little Italian trattoria in the old town with tables upstairs too so dont be deterred if the six downstairs tables are full. The food is delicious and they offer half bottles of wine but be aware, the prices in Geneva restaurants are high, compared...to the rest of Europe, especially ITALY. Try the Bacca winebar or one of the more casual cafes as an alternative.More

MODEST FAVOLA IN GENEVA, Switzerland We had 2 risottos alle capesante (scallops) and 2 espresso. Total Swiss Francs: 94. Plates are poorly presented. Rise was unmistakably pre-cooked and overcooked. Origin of the rise unspecified. Presence of allergens unnoticed. Only 4 tables for lunch that day....From our position, it is possible to see the kitchen which is really small and not meeting European standards of hygiene. The service makes efforts to personalize the show. But the results are disappointing. For instance, while awaiting for the rises, 2 timid bruschettas are proposed to us. The tomatoes are cold, just taken off the fridge. If you dare to venture into the narrow spirale staircase near the kitchen, you reach the first floor with the toilet and a room with about 10 tables. We were told that in the old good days this was an Italian reference restaurant in Geneva old town. Nowdays, absolute improvements are badly needed to stay in business. We are in the XXI century, gentlemen. Bea & Gianni Novelli, Geneva, SwitzerlandMore
