Visiting Switzerland and not eating one of its most typical and traditional dishes would be unthinkable for me. Finding myself in Geneva, I couldn't have stopped doing it at the Auberge de Savièse restaurant after the great feedback I've got. And my expectations were not...dashed. In fact, they went well far beyond what I was expecting! The excellent quality of the food, the typical Swiss interior and their fantastic and warm welcome made this experience an unforgettable one.More

The racklette  was spectacular (pan sautéed gruyere), my son’s grilled sausage was great, the “Longeole IGP from Geneva” sausage was really good (came with no sauce which is good for me) on a bed of green lentils (that needed some spice), the “italian salad” (a...Caprese), was fresh and great, the house white wine(a local savigon blanc) was good.  The house bread was a wheat (possibly slightly sour dough) was great, the fondu at the next table smelled really good.  Service was great and friendly, the owner came over to commend us on ordering all local Geneva specialties — a nice guy who just enjoyed talking to customers.  A very nice evening, reasonably priced,  a block from our hotel.More

They have an extensive menu of Swiss specialities going way beyond just fondue. They have a half dozen outside tables that are nice when the weather permits. The service was great and along with English menus, we had an English speaking server. We had their...upgraded version of a Rosti that included cheese and was topped with an egg and their namesake house special that combines pasta, potatoes, cheese, bacon and some other magic ingredients. Some say touristy, I say it is the essence of Switzerland. They also have a selection of Swiss beers on draft.More

Finally a restaurant with proper social distancing, great service and the best fondue. The manager was so kind he recommended just the right amount of fondue for us and explained the different types. There was proper social distancing with barriers. Highly recommend !!!More

The restaurant had a Mountain Swiss interior decor which was fun, there were many locals, which is always a good sign. During my trip to Geneva, I took a take away in this restaurant. Despite this difficult period, the owners were very friendly and serve a very tasty typical swiss cooking (didn't find much traditional restaurant in Geneva so I was really happy to find this...one especially because it was excellent). I highly recommend it. They both offer take-away at the restaurant directly and deliveries through internet platforms. Wish you all the best and thanks for the excellent meal !More

We were in Geneva on our first night and I was hoping to have a good fondue and raclette restaurant to dine in. After reading several reviews on Google and choosing a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel, we came to Auberge de Saviese....We were early (before 6pm), therefore we were able to get a seat easily at the outdoor seating. There are a lot of selections from the menu and we ordered the raclette menu with some meat, boiled potatoes, pickles and onion. The sharing platter for 2 was CHF33. The potatoes were really good and we had an enjoyable meal in the good atmosphere. Service was nice, friendly and efficient as well.More
