The place is very cozy, decorated in wood. We tried the half and half fondue, and it was delicious. We enjoyed it very much. It's not a cheap place, because you can't order a fondue to share. Many people, this house is an institution without doubt. We are settled very quickly, thanks to our Reservation we benefit from an outdoor table, the grail! We ordered two half-and-a-half fondues, and a plate of cold cuts, it was good and sufficient especially since the bread was abundant. The waiter was friendly professional and attentive all in a relaxed and typical atmosphere. We had a great time especially as the service was fast which suited us well. You will then tell me why a 4, the Wine Award, I know that it is everywhere the same in Geneva and therefore that it is not related to your establishment but that it is expensive!!! First time in Geneva and we wanted to experience an authentic Swiss restaurant......we found one here! This restaurant is one that offers a menu with Swiss specialties and a fondue that we were anxious to try. We ordered the fondue, a salad (one that consisted of lettuce and raclette) and Swiss beer. Our waiter even showed us the proper way to eat fondue by swishing our bread around the fondue pot before devouring it. The cheese stayed warm and it was delicious. We were lucky enough to dine early that day; we scored a table next to the window which gave us the chance to view the sights and sounds of Geneva as we ate. It is delightful inside, clean and have a very friendly staff who care about their customers. You will not be disappointed.

We went to the restaurant because it was near our hotel. However, the food left much to be desired! The kids ordered a super simple bolonhese spaghetti dish and it was very graceless. Sausage completely without spice. My husband and I ordered a raclette, a typical Swiss dish. But it was okay, nothing too much. Although the waiter was attentive, the environment and the food were not as good as I expected. I would not come back!

Very unwelcome. We chose this restaurant because the rating seemed very correct. When we arrived we were quickly settled in and, as we had a time constraint, we asked if we could have lunch quickly and the waitress handing us the menus said: “I will give you a tip for eating quickly, stop talking and order”.
Of course we were caught up in this inappropriate and aggressive response and the customers of the next table also showed their incomprehension at this response. We saw this restaurant online and thought that it looked really lovely, so decided to phone and try to book a table. It was very busy and we were told it was fully booked but the man on the phone took our name and advised that we could turn up and see if they could fit us in. We headed down and were offered a drink on arrival whilst we wait, a lovely glass of house red appeared and we weren’t charged for this. The boss took our order and sat us down and we had a lovely meal. I had the pasta with potatoes, creamy sauce and meat, and my partner had veal sausage and chips. All in all the food was excellent, the staff really lovely, and a nice cosy atmosphere. We weren’t charged for the wine or bread.

We were there for a mid day snack. We had cheese fondue which was a half/half (gruyere & vacherin fribourgeois) which I thought was lighter than other fondues I had. There were also very nice about letting us share a portion, which was perfect for the two of us. Very traditional, well priced, good quality and friendly. Not much more you can ask in a restaurant. Although we were there around 4 pm, they still had a constant stream of customers.

We visited late on Thursday evening without a reservation but were immediately led to a table without delay.
For starters we had beef carpaccio and smoked trout. The main course was a shared dish of a goats cheese fondue. The food was delicious and the service from our waiter was excellent. Highly recommended but consider booking in advance as it was evident we were fortunate that we got a table EVEN on a quiet Thursday evening.

Upon entering this restaurant a deep sense of foreboding took hold within me: it smelled of dog food and is rather old fashioned in appearance. Tourists abounded. I almost walked out but persevered on account of my deep desire to plunge morsels of bread into molten Gruyère cheese.
Thankfully, the fondue was delicious if not inexpensive at 36 francs per person. This was served in a pan with slices of rustic bread. I did find myself getting a bit bored by the end of the meal: why not mix it up by offering, say, some crunchy vegetable crudités, or, failing that, an assortment of different breads? Either way, we enjoyed our visit and staff were pleasant. By Swiss standards the wine was reasonably priced.

Regarding the the "mix up" propositions we do propose on our menu some side dish that you can dip into the cheese fondue to have different texture like boiled potatoes, fruits and even some seasoned vegetables. Do not hesitate to ask our waiters if you have some questions, we will be more than happy to help you.

We arrived here without a reservation, ( something you really should do if you want to make sure jot to miss the opportunity to eat here), luckily one of the waiters could squeeze us in, if we managed to eat in max 1,5 hour.
We both weren't sure about the fondue with the wine in it.
One of the waiters assured us that it's the best way! So okay let's do it, give us the original! Again this waiter told us it's better to take the half/half. This because it's 2 different type of cheeses! Also he recommended to add the charcuterie platter with the fondue to have a extra bite with it.
We are really happy we listened to the friendly waiter, the meal was superb and way beyond our expectations!
Highly recommended to go here when you are in Geneva and want to eat the best cheese fondue arround!

If you are not sure whether to eat here, do it. My friends and I wanted fondue while in Geneva and we ate at this restaurant. We were a bit worried about the price (college student budget) but our server helped us pick a fondue that we shared between the four of us and it was delicious, and it ended up not being too much per person. Excellent service!

We were on holiday in Switzerland for six days and ate here on our first night - and it was my favourite meal of the holiday. We were new to fondue and the waiter advised us what to have (I think it was the half and half cheese fondue). It comes with chunks of bread and we also ordered a side plate of grapes and apple pieces. It was delicious! The restaurant serves other dishes apart from fondue and my son enjoyed his pasta.
The atmosphere was relaxed, informal and friendly. According to the pictures on the wall, we were in good company, with people such as Nile Rodgers having enjoyed a meal here. Thanks, Auberge de Saviese, for a great start to our holiday!

Great experience with Swiss atmosphere! The food was awesome, the service was really good, and location was central.

We had veal geschnetzeltes, which we were very looking forward to. The taste was ok, but the quality meat was horrible. Veal for this dish should be tender “ clean” meat, not full of gristle and fat. It spoiled our whole meal, especially when the manager came to see why we complained and he said there was nothing wrong with it. We had the same days several days later at cafe gleis 3 in Interlaken, excellent quality meat, like it should be.

To complete your feedback, our manager came to your table at the end of the meal after you had eaten more than half of your dish each, he still removed one of the plates from the bill. He actually asked the kitchen for a new dish in order to taste it personally and so I can confirm to you that there was no problem with your dish. As he communicated to you on the spot that you did not like the dish is your strictest right, without a doubt our recipe is certainly different from the one you had in Interlaken, but the "innuendoes" that you have held against our establishment and which you obviously fail to mention in your comment are unacceptable for us and for our customers. We are a serious company that has existed for over 70 years and we have never offered poor quality or defrauded one of our customers.

Ranji was is the manager and was our waiter for our visit in September 2024. The fondue was great, but more importantly the dialogue with Ranji was amazing! They all provided great service on top of great food, cannot recommend this place more highly to those visiting Geneva!
