This is my recommendation for great and fresh French cuisine in Berne. The restaurant is very cute and cosy. I was most impressed by the very attentive and uncomplicated service.

Just happened upon this quaint little French restaurant right at the bridge leading to Bern. Crowded with locals - which is always a good sign - we felt lucky to get a table for lunch. The mussels were great - prepared in different sauces and can be purchased "per piece". Also enjoyed the lamb, house-made raviolis, and the duck breast.... More

I had an interesting bouillabaisse that was very tasty. The service was wonderful. The restaurant was crowded. It is across from the Barengraben.

I haven't been in a long time to the Brasserie, last weekend we went there as they serve from 11.30 - 22.30 so it's convenient when you are having a late lunch. The servers are very friendly and the food was fantastic! I can recommend the duckling breast with morel sauce, or the Charolaise lamb in a Rosemary juice or... More

Very cozy and small interior. Waiters spoke English and had English menus (which is a plus in Switzerland) The service was good, and the food was extremely good. Almost never had a meal that good in Switzerland!! Plus there is a huge public parking just behind the restaurant, which makes going there easy. The appetizer escargot was very delicious. For... Book in advance, this is a Restaurant for serious eaters. There are just enough places for about 30 people, unless you want to sit on someone`s lap. The kitchen itself is smaller than my Bathroom, but it turns out some serious Gastronomic fair.

A.D. 2015, Bern, the Bundesstadt (Federal City) of Switzerland, whose official languages are German, French, Italian, and Romansh: the wait staff of the #15 restaurant on TripAdvisor only speaks German; no English, no French and, of course, no Italian or Romansh; our menu was in German and French, but given that our waitress didn’t speak French, and we don’t speak... Food is very good and the restaurant is very nice and charming. Unfortunately the service was very average. In the past there was a more matching servant while no the person was very faceless and nothing special. Not very good but also not not very bad. But again the food is very good so for the food is always worth... More
