Amazing tasty Dumplings and presentation beautiful.
It is really exotic homemade Chinese Food. The Chef really knows how to spoil the Customers with tasty food. The Owner very nice person. Atmosphere there just Amazing.

We truly enjoyed our experience at Peng. We appreciated that you can keep on ordering so we started with and appetiser and dumplings and just kept getting bites because we felt intrigued by many of the dishes. The staff is also very kind and helpful and service has a very good pace. Worth paying a visit.

A gem in Basel. We need more restaurants like this in Basel — artful food, attractive interior design, caring and warm service. Took my kids and it was a meal of discovery, great food made with care. much needed since the last years of ‘always the same’.
Recommend saving room for the mochi cheesecake for dessert — was perfect, not too sweet.

Birthday of the beloved half. We love to eat oriental food.
Someone recommend Peng Dumplings, here in Basel.
With our two little girls, the proposed formula is ideal. You order what you like, choose the time to pick it up, take it home frozen and cook it as you like (steamed, pan-fried, boiled).
All very good.
When throwing away the packages (and talking about ingredients) we realise that the yellow chicken dumplings were produced on 08/02/2022 (today's date), the combo mix has no label, the xiao long bao (the girls' favourite) was produced on 30/04/2021 (expiry date 30/06/2021).
I write a message in the "Contact us" section.
After ten minutes one of the guys from peng dumplings called me back and explained that there was a problem with the label machine.
What do we do, trust them?

Thank you for your feedback. As we explained to you on the phone, the problem was our labeling machine. The date on the XLB was the date we programed the label for the first time with a mistake in programing so it would always take this first date.
You can absolutely trust the freshness of our products we sell, as we produce them from scratch our selves and this every week, as we are happy to sell the dumplings within a week. Again I am sorry for the inconvenience and we would like to invite you to have a small tour with us to see our production if you would like to.

Once we finally received our food it was quite tasty but the service was soooo disappointing!
Phoned to find out if they catered for gluten free and was told they had lots. Again told that when we arrived but after we had ordered were told there was only 1 thing . Then we were a group of 4 and the meals all came at different times and only parts of the orders .. overall service was so bad we asked to speak to the manager but that never happened..then the manager said she would phone the next day but we are still waiting 2 days later!
We def won’t be returning

We really enjoyed our meal at Peng, but thought that the dumplings let them down. We ordered the dumpling sample platter and were excited to try all of the flavors, but unfortunately they were all a bit bland. We really enjoyed the other dishes we had - sticky eggplant, spicy green beans, dan dan noodles, and pork bao. We will be back but next time may skip the dumplings.

Very overrated. The first time, the boss ignored us for half an hour sitting at the table until he came to say that the restaurant was full and we had to leave (it wasn't)
The second time... horrible taste, very expensive and very small portions.
I think the fame is only due to the owner's friends. The food doesn't deserve it.

A wonderful quiet location in Gundeli with amazing food. The Dim Sum experience was exceptional as was the service and friendliness of the staff. A great place for couples and families to have a relaxing and delicious dinner.

If you are looking for an authentic dumpling experience this is not the place. The dumplings look beautiful from the outside but are not tasty at all, the dumpling skin is too hard and has no taste. I would not recommend this place.

Terraces just opened and we wanted to try this place since a while
Service was 10/10! English was spoken and the waitress was very kind and helpfull to help us what to order
Nice list of drinks too
Dumplings were delicious and noodles where very tasty
