It was not the best Thai food I have eaten but it was ok. The dishes lacked depth in flavour. But the restaurant is close to Messe.

Food and service were both so outstanding I had to log in to TA after years of silence to spread the word. I opted for a set-meal takeaway for 35 CHFs - spring roll + chicken green curry with aubergines, bamboos sprouts and basel + steamed rice. Place was almost empty when I arrived but as soon as I was... More

Ordered off set €35 menu (starter&main). Food was fresh, good spice, tasty. Exactly what was needed. Will visit again!

I go to Thai restaurants because I like spicy food. I always ask for very hot/spicy when i go to Thai. I went to this restaurant twice and ordered the same item, bot times asked it to be very spicy. The first time i got the heat level I asked for, the second time it was mild. but both times... More

We had dinner in this restaurant after a workshop. The food was delicious. No much people during week-days but will be busy for sure during exhibitions. The restaurant is busy during lunchtime due to many business guests.

We went to this restaurant for lunch. We had hoped for a simple, fresh and flavourful meal. Instead we got fairly salty dishes that lacked subtlety. Less soy sauce, better seasoning and a bit of salad would have been great. The chef needs to make better use of the herbs and spices that define Thai cuisine. Service could have been... More

So close to Baselworld,, walking distance. Not even a 1 km walk!! Perfect restaurant to eat, if you are visiting Baselworld for the show. A lot of vegetarian delicacies available to enjoy.. Superb food.. Though be aware of the spicy food.. It can get too spicy!!

Located about 200m past the Messeplatz (conference center) is a hidden gem of a Malay / Thai restaurant. The choice of food is good with some great house specials and unusual dishes. It is not expensive and the quality and flavours are excellent! Don't be put off if you're the only one in the restaurant! It may lack a little... More

It's hard to find flavorful food in Basel but malai Thai does a good job. The pad Thai was very tasty and to be recommended. Lunch prices are around 20chf and include soup or spring roll.

I took 2 colleagues who had never tried Thai food before and they loved it. Great service, great food. Relaxed atmosphere. And very good value. I will definitely visit again when I'm in Basel.
