We stopped at this candy store in Perugia and so glad we did. The young gentleman working was so friendly and helpful. He explained each chocolate that was in the glass case which helped us to select a nice assortment to take with us. The chocolate is excellent! Stop by if you are in Perugia!

Our family loved Augusta Chocolates. We went in and ordered what we thought was simple - two coffees and three hot chocolates. With a laugh, they responded "Which hot chocolate would you like? We have 31 to choose from!"

I have been living in Perugia for years and I have seen many gelateria come and go. This one was set up by a Perugina employee that left the famous chocolate factory when Nestle' took over. It is spectacular. You have to try the at least 3 types of chocolate (my favorite flavor) including the one that is orange and... More

the Augusta Perusia offers a great gelato! Some say it's the best in Umbria. There I tasted the weirdest one I've ever had, the Basil one - and it was so tasty! They have great chocolate too, and nive cocoa spaghetti.

I've followed the growth of this "ciocolateria"since they began as a very small business many years ago. Quality products find an appreciatve public even in hard times and they deserve their success and international reputation (being close to the University for Foreigners) .

Lovely chocolate shop next to the basketball court. Silky rich hot chocolate with perfect balance of flavor, cream & sweetness. Tried 2 varieties of dark chocolate truffles. Both were great. A little disappointed with the dark chocolate gelato. Dark in color but light in flavor with a hints of burnt taste.

Some of us only go to Italy to eat ice cream....others go because the people watching is so magnificent....a few go for the culture...if your interest is the ice cream read on please. A few years ago allegedly for spiritual reasons, I made a walking pilgrimage from the UK to Rome. The actual motivator to make this journey was to... More

The gelato was so cold, so thick, so creamy..... just right. I chose fruit flavors - raspberry and cantaloupe - so perfect in color too! My husband had a scoop of both rich deep chocolate and a coffee flavor - he was raving. A small place, charming, just off, well behind, the beaten path. Try their homemade chocolates too! Nothing...
