Great food

Simply put - great food ... owner dresses as Gepeto (from Pinocchio) and is a character !! Food was lovely and not expensive.

I was hoping so much from reviews. I even made abstraction of the horrible neighbourhood, the terrace being okay at most. But god I must not have had the same menu as commentators below: 2 types of pasta equally uninteresting, a dull wild pig meat. The owner is quite a character, the wine is good value. But this is not... More

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner during our holiday in Umbria after reading recommendations on tripadvisor and went back to our hotel very satisfied. The pasta was really good, and considering the prices, the quality really exceeded expectations. Our host was dressed up as the Pinocchio character from whom the restaurant is named and was thoroughly entertaining throughout... More

The restaurant is located 150metres from Perugia SMN station. First impressions were of a quiet back street restaurant, not too dimly lit and decorated with original cartoon style artworks. After a short time we realized that there is a little bit of theatre which accompanies the service here. The owner who speaks several languages was able to explain the degustation... More

Not much more to say! At twice the price we would have enjoyed it but at €40 for two complete degustation dinners it ranks an easy five stars. The food was also first rate. That's high praise from my wife whose mother was born in Italy. Outstanding. Pleasant setting, good service and charming. Go.

TA reviews and our hotel reccomendations pointed us to this small, out of the way, favored by locals Osteria. The service was charming, provided by the owner, dressed in a local outfit and the food was just as good as the explanations by the owner. Pork from Norcia, the pig capital of italy, house made pasta particular to Umbria, as... More

During a one week trip to Tuscany & Umbria, one of our best meals was at MangiaFuoco just on the outskirts of the historic city center near the soccer stadium. We chose the restaurant because it was near the stadium and were attending a concert there at 9pm. Restaurant opened at 7:30 pm and we arrived at 7:45 (first ones... More
