The philosophy of the restaurant's kitchen part of the Middle Ages by a careful search of raw materials, all fresh, seasonal, local produce to domestic KM.Zero and of high quality. Meat derived exclusively from farms in Umbria and Tuscany, of the Umbrian hills oil obtained by cold pressing, fresh pasta made by hand, careful selection of cured meats and artisan cheeses. Experience and passion for good food of William, born skilfully revisited, rediscovering the traditional Umbrian menu and make that change from time to time according to the season. To complete the unforgettable experience in the heart of Assisi, in the Middle Ages will find a special location rich in architectural elements dating back to the Roman era a few steps from Piazza del Comune.

Enoyable dinner and atmosphere

Having visited before and having had a good experience, we visited again. We found the food and service both up to our standards. The Risotto al tartufo di Norcia e porcini (Risotto with Norcia truffles and mushrooms) was prepared for two. Very tasty. We then split a Filetto al Sagrantino (Filet... read more

I spent Christmas in Assisi and a definite highlight was dinner at Medioevo -- fantastic! From the fried olives and bruschetta to the flaming roast porchetta, each course was well-prepared and delicious. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive and the setting was beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We ate dinner here after a long day of travel, and it was the perfect place to sit down, relax, and have a leisurely dinner and wine. I had the Rigatoni alla Norcina on recommendation from a friend, and it was delicious. Priced very fairly at 9 Eruo. Highly recommend it!

Every course was delicious. The service was fantastic. The ambiance was excellent. We chose items on the menu that were typical of the Umbrian region and were not disappointed.

Big, airconditioned restaurant with friendly service and a lively atmosphere. Not as tasty as some other places, but good food nevertheless.

We went to this restaurant based on advice from a guide book, and were so glad we did! The restaurant itself is down a side street in Assisi. The room as very interesting vaulted ceilings. The tables are close together, but set so that you feel private. The food was some of the best, and most lovingly prepared on our... More

Lovely setting and good Umbrian food, service was adequate although a little rushed. We opted for a set Christmas-menu, which was probably a mistake because we ended up wasting most of our main course. Antipasto was probably the best, with fresh salame, coppa and porcini appetizer. My pork meat was good but my mother's tagliata was a little burnt on... More

My wife & I had dinner here on Friday 3 October 2014. We were Lucky...we arrived a little after 7 PM without a reservation. They did have an extra table. Within the next 30 minutes they turned away 3 couples who did not have reservations. If you plan to eat here a reservation is suggested. The dinner was truly outstanding.... More

Great ambiance! Great food! Best wine! One of the best meals we've had. The truffle sauce was so good and the light salad that followed was just right. My husband enjoyed a great value with the lunch prix fix. Really appreciated the higher quality this restaurant offers. Although there are no views, this space offers an alternative to the more...
