The food was plentiful and extremely tasty. All homemade and so fresh you just do not need to ask. My wife is gluten intolerant and was treated perfectly.

We recently had a 6 day stay here for my sisters wedding, this is the most accommodating and friendly family who went above and beyond for us all. We have 2 children and found the restaurant and grounds very family friendly, they were also extremely accommodating for us when our children didn't manage a later evening on our first night... We had a nice four day stay at il piastrino. The place is beautifully located in the hills between olive trees and vineyards. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Although not everbody spoke english, we were quite able to communicate. The room was basic, but was clean and included everything we needed. Breakfast is included and although pretty basic,... More

Stayed one night with a group of 6 during a cycling tour and were lucky enough to have dinner on site. Beginning with the prompt and polite service who were able to accommodate a garlic and celiac allergy as well as communicate in English, French and Italian. All the olive oil, wine, jams, and honey are made on site. Dinner... More

We stayed here for three days at end of Sept. We walked around the vineyards, and olive groves. We also walked to the birth place of Leonardo De Vinci. The food in this b&b was typical Tuscan and really delicious. The local wine is also a treat to drink. We visited the wine producers who were delighted to explain the... More

We were staying one night as part of a cycling trip, and given notice the owner cooks you dinner for €20 pp including drinks and a bottle of wine. The meal was really delicious- lots of antipasti starters then a choice of pasta, then panna cotta for dessert. All very nice and freshly cooked using the farm's vegetables. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night on our cycling holiday. The hosts made us most welcome with a drink on our arrival and sorted us our with a table for dinner which was excellent. Our accommodation was very comfortable but unfortunately at the bottom of a very steep hill!!! Most enjoyable stay.

We only stayed here for one night because we were passing through on our way to Florence and wanted to visit the birth house of Leonardo Da Vince. The environment of the house was exactly as I expected a Tuscan farmhouse to be - driveway flanked by those tall cypress trees that we think of as "typically Italian" and birds... More
