This little restaurant on a side street was recommended too us by our b&b hostess. It was far better than anything in the guidebooks and exceeded even the best we experienced in Florence and other places. Great local Tuscan food.

This restaurant was really amazing. A lot of the dishes were rich so if you like cheese head here. We first had the crostini with gorgonzola and truffles, super rich as expected but very delicious and you should definitely try! I can’t recall what my sauce was called but I think it was what they were known for, a gorgonzola... More

Traditional atmosphere, inventive take on traditional food. We started with the crostini with gorgonzola and truffle and Cacio e Pepe Pici, both of which were excellent. As entrees we had the Pollo alla Diavola and Cinghale dolce e Forte, wild boar with a sauce that includes chocolate. Popular with locals and with tourists, so expect a wait if you have... More

I like this place a lot in some ways; the ambience is nicely Italian, and the server we had was very good. Sadly, the quite expensive bistecca Fiorentina (giant T-bone) was, as another reviewer has noted, full of gristle to the point being almost inedible. Hard to cut even with a sharp knife. I'm sure we would have been perfectly... More

We had our evening meal here. Not a very wide choice of food but traditional dishes you would expect on the menu. Food was excellent, staff were attentive without being over fussy good value we were pleasantly surprised at the bill.

We found this place in "where chefs eat". It's an honest restaurant with good food and very friendly staff! My husband asked for some sauce with his steak, so they prepared some and even said to ask for more if needed :) Great!

The restaurant was packed on the day we went so I understand why the service was poor (maybe it's better when not so crowded). Waiter took 30 minutes to visit the table and then served our food person-by-person with 10 minute gaps between table visits. They also overcharged us but took the additional charges from our bill after we brought... More

My husband, toddler and I got lost trying to find another restaurant, and were so exhausted from walking up and down hills with our stroller, and we decided to try the next restaurant we saw, and we found L'Osteria, and I'm SO happy we did. My husband had the steak (not the rib eye, the other), and it was so... More

This retaurant was reccomended by a friend for having authentic Tuscan cuisine without the extortional pricing of many tourism town establishements. We really enjoyed our meal here and heartily reccomend it. Booking is advisable.

This restaurant is in the old town , finding somewhere to park is your biggest issue . Steep climb up is worth it for the great architecture . Need to book this place as small and busy. English menu was provided without request - local dishes , don't expect English style Italian food . Chose the wild boar ragu with... More
