In a city packed with great restaurants L'Oro Di Siena really stood out. We were staying at hotel minerva across the street and only discovered the restaurant by chance. With inventive but traditional plates and the best service we've received it was an amazing dining...experience. We Went there twice and can't wait to come back to Siena to go again. Would highly recommend.More

Not necessarily off the beaten track, but about an 8 minute walk from the centre of Siena, this was an incredible find. When you walk in its unclear what to expect but the food was out of this world. Seriously, on another level. The cheese...to start was mouthwatering, and the veal was something to marvel at. The service was fantastic and the kids loved it too. Their gnocchi was unreal (not made with potato so incredibly light and fresh). Great wine as well. What's not to like!More

We were staying around Siena for a few days and happened to stumble upon this gem of a restaurant. We really enjoyed our experience here! Service from Matteo was incredible, and the food was delicate, flavorful and nuanced - overall something different and elevated from...the other food we've had during our time in this area. The wine we had (il poggio 2016) was also one of our favorite wines we've had our entire trip to Italy! This is not a destination to be missed if you're in the area, 100% worth the money!More

We went to L'oro because of the great reviews on Trip advisor...The place exceeded our expectations. The waiter (probably the owner, didn't ask) presented us a typical Italian red wine, as we didn't know what to choose from the 12 page long wine Card. The...wine was aligned to our main course, which was housemade pasta. If you are looking for a romantic dinner for two (in our case with a dog), this is a really good choice in Siena!! We will come back:)More

Restaurants in Siena centro can be a bit touristy, especially around Piazza del Campo, so we set out to find a good restaurant off track and stumbled upon this. What a wonderful discovery! Great ambience, exquisite and beautifully presented food and one of the best...wine lists I have seen in Tuscany - run by the passionate and warm-hearted Matteo. Every dish was a piece of art and we will come back here whenever we are in Siena. Don't miss this!More

We tried to go here on Saturday night and it was fully booked. There are only 12 covers. We then tried again on Sunday night and got lucky! The owner and manager of this restaurant is fanatical about food and service. He deliberately only has...12 covers even though he could fit double in the restaurant because he is all about the experience. The food and the service was impeccable and nothing was too much hassle. We brought our three young children who were also welcomed and surprisingly well behaved but I would mainly recommend for adults and romance rather than families. It’s not really that environment. It’s fine dining but I highly recommend regardless and so glad we got to try it!More

We discovered this small restaurant through reviews, before travelling to Sienna so booked in advance. We weren't disappointed, although it's situated away from other eateries it was well worth the visit. The food was delicious and Matteo's attention to detail couldn't be faulted. Although it's...fairly expensive, it was well worth it for a special evening out.More

Now that's a tough one, they have no web site, the best way to do it, is search for their restaurant in TripAdvisor and you can email them from there as I have just checked and there is a button you can click on. Great... More
