Based on tripadvisor revievs we decided to try zest restaurant. We sat outside, the atmosphere was nice but the tables lack room to relax and lean. Food was great, we had pasta with seafood and wine sauce and pasta with sali and ricotta- best meal i had in a long time. Waitress, wery nice, was a bit slow- we waited... More

We booked this restaurant due to reviews and managed to get a table facing down the street and watched the sun set against il duomo on the hill. Extremely romantic. Menu great with good variety and we were advised about good wine. Really helpful and friendly staff. Reasonable price too. A great restaurant!!

We had a day tour to Siena, Chianti and San Gimignano and stopped in Siena for lunch. We just happened to stumble upon this restaurant while we were rushing to find some place to eat. The meal looked affordable and the view from outside was nice! You basically sit on a paved hill, it's very interesting. I ordered a greek... More

I ate here everyday while in Siena. The service and food is 5-Star!!!! I would recommend them to anyone looking for good food, great wine, and friendly service. The daily specials are all delicious and worth every penny.

We just happened across Zest Ristorante while wandering around Siena and decided to stay & eat there because the menu looked good. We were a group of 7 and they graciously accommodated us and provided us with fantastic food & service. The service was above & beyond, as our waitress (who was the owners daughter in from Australia) spoke exceptional... More

We liked this restaurant so much that we ate there two days in a row--once for lunch and once for dinner. The seafood special with scallops was excellent. What really stood out was the desserts. I don't like coffee, so was thrilled to see they made their tiramasu with limoncella instead. Their chocolate cake was also fantastic.

We go to Italy for the charm of the centuries-old forts and castles, cathedrals and basilicas. But after a few weeks, I go into Etruscan overdose and long for a clean, crisp, contemporary bar and restaurant for a short return to the 21st century. Zest gives you the choice : dine outside surrounded by stone walls and slate pavement or... More

We chose Zest after reading a few memorable reviews and because it was so close to our hotel. The bar area is nice and we had no problem waiting a few minutes there for a table to clear. The proseco was good, slightly nutty and I must admit might expectation were probably higher than they should have been. We order... More

Fantastic food and wine in a quiet street in central Siena. Easy to find. Request a table outside with view. Great evening and friendly staff. Approx €25 per person.

We had the unfortunate experience of eating lunch at Zest. I could not finish a Carbonara as the pasta was overcooked and included rosemary. My girlfriend had something called penne a la vongole. Every italian knows that vongole should be served with spagetti. The waiter explained that it was with a white wine sauce. It was not as it was... More

Management response:

Firstly I wish to apologise for your unfortunate experience, on this rare occasion ( which can happen in any restaurant) I admit that the spaghetti was not cooked 'al dente'. However in the description of the Spaghetti Carbonara on the menu it does state that rosmarino is in the dish. I agree with you that Spaghetti alla Vongole is a... More
