The ricciarelli at Nannini are truly magical. It is definitely worth a stop, if you find yourself in Siena, to pick up a box.

I had heard that this place was good 20 years ago. However the service now Is terrible and the gelato looks like a cheap train station ice cream. Give it a miss. Lots of better alternatives about that are not trading on its reputation.

Stopped here late morning as needed sustenance after a small breakfast. Thought the prices very reasonable and service excellent given the prime location. Great selection of pastries and cakes

There were flies actually having a party on the pastries. The ladies toilets had no seats and there was no soap in either dispenser. After using the toilet and trying both soap dispensers to find no soap I wanted to chop off both of my hands, lol! ;-) Perhaps someone should be hired to man the toilets 24/7 and more... More

Of course all gelato in Italy is pretty delicious. In our 10 days in Tuscany, we had gelato at least 6 times. This place was by far the best. The flavor choices were extensive and the helpings rather generous.

Nannini's is the place to go for local specialty desserts: Panforte, Ricciarelli, Cavallucci and Torte. These are all wonderful desserts, and this is the place in Siena to go for these. They also have coffee, tea and wine, along with some other desserts, including gelato, but my personal favorites are the Ricciarelli Mandorla, which are soft cookies made with almond... More

The gelato counter is kind of hidden and you can't tell (or at least I couldn't...) right away that they serve gelato, but the taste is just unbelievable. I'm used to gelato and have been to Italy quite a few times, but this was the best tiramisu gelato I ever had. Even the texture was so dessert-like, not "just" gelato!... More

Massive establishment with several sections full of wonderful food. The tiramisu was delicious as was the iced coffee. Pop by for a bite.

My husband and I visited this restaurant on Piazza de Campo yesterday evening. We have enjoyed fabulous food on our Tuscan tour and many other times throughout Italy. My husband had the Ravioli with bolognese and I had a pizza. The Ravioli was very very dry as was the bolognese topping - it looked absolutely terrible and tasted even worse.... More
