Stumbled in during the rain and it was homerun. From the service, the wine and the food loved it all.

We stopped here to taste some wine on an organised coach trip to Siena. They provided a little information about each drink, some Tuscan nibbles and a short tour of their underground spring that dates back to before the Romans. Very interesting, great wine and friendly staff. If we had more time I would have tried the restaurant.

Excellent restaurant right off the busy Campo in Siena that was recommended by a friend. Staff was excellent and very helpful with gluten-free options. Even had GF bread :-). Excellent balance of GF and regular dishes for our group. Everyone loved the antipasto, chickpea soup, pici pasta with veal ragu and braised veal with lentils. Dessert was a ricotta and... More

The area for the wine tasting had some difficulties, so we got the tasting inside the restaurant. Our sommelier Rocco explained quit a lot about Tuscany wines. Lovely experience and would door it again some days. We booked it including a diner and we were surprised about the selection of different foods they offered. Also lovely and ofcourse a good... Arrived at restaurant without booking and were lucky to get a table for 4. Lovely place with vaulted ceilings and old bench tables with white linen tablecloths. Staff are great and very knowledgeable about the menu and each items provenance. Local sourced food, homemade pasta and breads. Great menu, great food, great staff, reasonable price. Would go again, no question!

The Gallo Nero was recommended by some friends so we gave it a try. The highlight was for sure the extremely friendly staff. We followed their recommendation for food and wine. The Gnocchi and the Beef was really good and nicely prepared.

Had a wonderful 5 course dinner at this atmospheric place behind Il Torre & past the church, with a Ramblers Holidays walking group, about 16 of us. Started with Battered Tempura Zucchini, Carrot & Onion, then a tasty Tagliatelle Ragu, followed by a lovely Risotto, then, because it kept on coming & in Italy you are greedy because the food's... Blink and you will miss it - trip advisor came up trumps, we walked past all the tourist traps in the square and straight into a fantastic food heaven. The owner? was very tall, passionate about food and made the meal even better with his recommendations. The cheeses were superb and the sherry tasted sweet and the aftertaste even better.... More

The restaurant is tucked away off the Piazza del Campo. In the restaurant the décor was "medieval" but tasteful. The waiters were prompt, cheerful and helpful. These is a very good coeliac menu and they are able to some of the dishes from the other menu also. The home made bread is excellent (not GF). The gluten free bread was... More
