We had the Gnocci with zucchini and Duck, followed by the Wild Boar stew and the Glazed Duck with fig and rosemary sauce. The food was very tasty, the service good, the only problem was too small a belly...

This is by far the best meal of our trip in Italy! Our server's name was Valeria and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the wines, food and paring. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, service and atmosphere.

Nice cozy setting and extremely good staff. The food is not as amazing as some others we had in Siena, but still quite good. Very reasonable prices.

We came for the wine tasting and we left extremely satisfied. Lorenzo, the waiter/sommelier was a perfect host, rich in knowledge about the grapes, the 'terra' and the history of both the wines and the region. We stayed for an excellent meal afterwards, including dessert and vin santo. We're on a cycling and eating tour of Toscana and this place... More

Fabulous evening tasting 3 wines of Tuscany. Each came with a specialty Tuscan starter. We went on to have a main meal. Lorenzo, our waiter and host was very knowledgeable and made sure we had a great evening! Best night of our2 week holiday yet! We recommend the Gnocchi with duck and cintasi senese :)

We were taken to this place for some wine tasting as the final part of our guided tour around Siena. Also to see a drinking well down in the cellar that dates back the roman times. It looked like a lovely restaurant and it would have been great to stay and have a meal in the evening but it was... More

We arrived without a reservation for 2. Fortunately we were able to experience this wonderful treasure. The owner came over and introduced himself and examined about his restaurant and the dishes. The cheese sampler was delicious. Gnocchi with duck & Ravioli were excellent.

Stumbled in during the rain and it was homerun. From the service, the wine and the food loved it all.

We stopped here to taste some wine on an organised coach trip to Siena. They provided a little information about each drink, some Tuscan nibbles and a short tour of their underground spring that dates back to before the Romans. Very interesting, great wine and friendly staff. If we had more time I would have tried the restaurant.

A wonderful union of flavors and suggestions that will remind you the charm of the Middle Ages. Very close to the famous Piazza del Campo, in the heart of the historic center of Siena, you will find the exclusive Restaurant Gallo Nero. The atmosphere is very cozy and hospitable, like a typical Tuscan home.Mauro Tigli - owner of the restaurant and chef of great experience and imagination, is here for turning on the taste of your palate with its extraordinary menu of traditional and medieval cuisine and Sienese and Tuscan recipes. Behind it all is a strong passion for the local products, personally selected by the chef from the meats to cheeses, from vegetables to homemade pasta. Excellent wine list with over 50 labels of the highest level ready to satisfy all your needs. In the upper floor, you will find a private, intimate and welcoming, of absolute elegance. The decor is characterized by a refined minimal design. An exclusive space where to celebrate an important occasion such as your birthday or your graduation party.
