Sometimes I like to wander and find restaurants by chance without using tripadvisor or other sources. This turned out to be a good experience. The wait staff were very attentive and the lunch was quite good. The sphagetti with anchovies was good and a nice...change from heavier sauces. The house wine is good and reasonably price. I was surprised when I saw the TripAdvisor rating that it wasn't better. Quite surprising that there were comments about the staff being rude. Not a hint during our visit. Sometimes I wonder if the comments are written by obnoxious people...we've certainly seen our share of obnoxious customers during our time thus far in Italy.More

I want for dinner here with my family after the Palio. It is situated perfectly in the centre of Sienna. It is run by a husband and wife team who were both lovely. The food was amazing authentic Italian food. Would highly recommend.

The food was very good and the staff polite. The dessert are really fresh. The only thing is that we found it a little bit expensive but not too much. We recommend it

In addition to the varied seasonal menu - which always offers fresh options, the restaurant offers its outdoor patio, perfect for lunch or a summer's evening dinner. If you want to be sure of a table outside, make a reservation.

My wife and I happened upon this restaurant while looking for a spot to dine and were delighted with our experience. We were greeted in a friendly manner and shown to a nice table. Our waiter helped us to select a superb wine (Mastrojanni winery...in Montalcino). We ordered a zucchini flower antipasti that was delicious as well as a pomodoro and formaggio salad. We were in the mood for fish which is not found as often in Siena and the choice we made was delicious. We capped dinner off with the house tiramisu and fruit with yogurt both of which were also delicious.More

We were looking for a place for a late lunch in Sienna and came upon Ristorante Le Campane. It’s on a side street, in a quiet spot. We ordered a Caprese salad and lasagne along with the house wine. Food came very quickly. Very good...lunch in a quiet spot.More

Food is average and unmemorable but the service here is appalling - rude, inattentive and the girl at front of house is incredibly unwelcoming. Given the number of great places to eat in Siena, you can - and should - do a whole lot better.

We came for August palio and the night of the race had a beautiful al fresco dinner ... we knew it was the busiest night of the year but managed to leave the race and be on the via di città at 730. ( early...for Europeans... but good for us). We were happily seated and had a great meal wine and dessert!!! Grazie milleMore

We have visited this place for Lunch. Although the food was good, the attitude and behaviour of the restaurant staff were very rude! Do not visit this place!
