Hidden below the entry is a warm, inviting space that invokes old Siena. The staff is friendly, genuine and exudes an ethusianum of their food and wine which is rightly deserved. A+ would definitely return to this restaurant!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stop for lunch at this restaurant. As soon as I walked in to check availability I warned the host that we had three young kids and he was surprised that I even bothered to warn him and he assured me that the kids were more than welcome - which is something that not all restaurants are... We went to Ristorante Guidoriccio following recommendations from friends who ate there and also Trip Advisor reviews. We had a lovely time. If you are looking for a typical Toscany restaurant with home made food this is without a doubt the place to go. We had vegetable lasagna which was delicious and Pici pasta with Duck along with mixed salad.... More

After reading about this restaurant in Rick Steves' book and checking out on TripAdvisor, we decided to give it a try. Excellent all around. Great, attentive service. Amazing portions. Perfect wine recommendation. We started with the Bruschetta e crostini - the variety of toppings were all tasty. For pasta/main courses, we got Risotto allo zafferano di Frances' Lodge e zucca... Excellent restaurant run by small, friendly staff just off the main square in Siena. Rustic, charming feel. Great prices and great food. Nice wine selection. Tables suitable for both groups and couples.

Are we talking about the same place?! We came here after reading all the outstanding reviews on TripAdvisor just to be deeply disappointed. I won't exaggerate if I say that this was the worst two meals we had in Italy (stuffed cabbage and Veal steak with Porcini mushrooms). The cabbage was utterly tasteless and the stake was dry with canned... More

Located inside an old Roman aqueduct and close to the Campo, this place is the exception to the rule of avoiding restaurants near the main tourist plazas. This was recommended to us by the B&B we were staying in and it was a solid choice. The pasta was excellent and the service was top notch.

Best pasta I've EVER had. The truffle and butter special. Highly recommend the specials of the day to the set menu. Guidoriccio was recommend by our hostess for the food quality, and the service was even better. Unique little cavern-type place off the piazza del campo. If you want an outdoor view, note that this place is inside. But we... More

We really enjoyed our meal here. The room where you eat is very atmospheric, with a gorgeous vaulted ceiling. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and gave us excellent service throughout. He recommended to us a lovely local wine that was quite a bit cheaper than the one we had originally chosen! The food was delicious and seemed very... More

I was dubious about a place so close to the Piazzo del Campo. I was certain it would be a dreadful tourist trap. Instead, we were lucky enough to be served glorious Tuscan food with clean, fresh flavors. Either the daily specials or the menu offer delicious options at tremendous values. The proprietor is quite knowledgable about local wine, and... More
