This restaurant was a bit hard for us to find as it is just a doorway but once you go down the stairs you realize you're in a neat old cellar. It was stone and felt like a real wine cellar. The owner was very nice and helped explain the menu to us. The food and wine were delicious. We... More

Arriving in Siena at lunch time, we decided to start the visit with lunch. Checked TripAdvisor as usual and this came up nearby. We were greeted by a not overly enthusiastic owner(?) who showed us into the empty restaurant. The service wasn't bad per se, just not very enthusiastic or as welcoming as you'd expect, especially given that we were... More

We got recommended by Franco from Frances Lodge where we stayed that we should try this place for some good Tuscan food! He was so right....this was our first night in Siena and we had a fantastic meal. We went for Pici pecorino and pesto Gnocchi - they were both delicious especially the Gnocchi - definitely the best Gnocchi we... More

We had a pleasant meal here on our last night in Siena. I had the truffle parpardelle which I would recommend, and also the mushroom and cheese pastries to start which tasted beautiful (but were a little heavy!). My husband had the cold meat to start and the ragu pasta for his main which he enjoyed. I think it was... More

Great hospitality and welcome from the owners, good food and reasonably priced. Skip the tourist traps on the main square and check out this place instead.

Hidden below the entry is a warm, inviting space that invokes old Siena. The staff is friendly, genuine and exudes an ethusianum of their food and wine which is rightly deserved. A+ would definitely return to this restaurant!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stop for lunch at this restaurant. As soon as I walked in to check availability I warned the host that we had three young kids and he was surprised that I even bothered to warn him and he assured me that the kids were more than welcome - which is something that not all restaurants are... We went to Ristorante Guidoriccio following recommendations from friends who ate there and also Trip Advisor reviews. We had a lovely time. If you are looking for a typical Toscany restaurant with home made food this is without a doubt the place to go. We had vegetable lasagna which was delicious and Pici pasta with Duck along with mixed salad.... More

After reading about this restaurant in Rick Steves' book and checking out on TripAdvisor, we decided to give it a try. Excellent all around. Great, attentive service. Amazing portions. Perfect wine recommendation. We started with the Bruschetta e crostini - the variety of toppings were all tasty. For pasta/main courses, we got Risotto allo zafferano di Frances' Lodge e zucca... Excellent restaurant run by small, friendly staff just off the main square in Siena. Rustic, charming feel. Great prices and great food. Nice wine selection. Tables suitable for both groups and couples.
