This spot is a perfect quiet oasis just outside the walls of hectic San Gimi. The people in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. We arrived at rush hour in San Gimi and we were desperately looking for a parking spot (you may recognize this if you have been here). We luckily spotter and landed at I Fossi for... More

Very nice place to eat and drink when it is raining))) good service, tasty food and wine! There is a free parking, it is very convenient!!! Prices are ok) my lunch with glass of Chianti on the photo costs 13 euro. Very nice waitress was serving me) I don't know about other places, but this is pretty nice)

San Gimignano is a delightful town, but (as is usual in such places) it's a bit of a tourist trap. Just the cue for me to hunt out a restaurant that's off the beaten track and good value to boot. This place fits the bill precisely. It's outside the city walls, so the standard tourist doesn't really come across it.... More

Simple but very satisfying. Inexpensive. Best value for the quality we had during our trip. Had the salad, gnocci and fettucine and all were excellent. Their chianti homemade wine was excellent. Waitress was delightful.

i Fossi is a great find. On the main road outside the wall of San Gimignano with it's own free parking places outside. The pizzas are huge and very tasty. The staff friendly and helpful.

Nice trattoria in San Gimignano. We had a Tuscan antipasto which was really good, for primi Tagliatelle con lo stracchino (a type of cheese), salciccia toscana and asparragus that was outstanding, for secondi scallopine with chianti sauce that was average (nothing special). The waitress was very nice and since it was in the afternoon she let us park in there... More

Had 3 different pizzas, all were very good. The San Gimignano red for 12 euros we had was very enjoyable organic IGT. Service was very good, no problem at all. They brought pizzas one by one, so I guess they have only one small oven working this tome of the year. Could be a problem for a bigger group but,... More

Never go there. The owner kicked us out because we were waiting for the rest of our party who were parking the car and hadn't ordered yet. We literally waited 10 min. He started shouting that Italian hospitality didn't exist there and was verbally aggressive and offensive. We had a 4 year old with us who got so scared that... More
