This seems to be a very popular restaurant. There is mix of locals and tourists. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of vernachia, the local wine, which is very good. The food was good and the portions were quite large. The staff were also very attentive and welcoming. This is a place for unpretentious dining, good food and friendly... More

Nice place and great steaks, besides having a good meal, people helped us to book a taxi to Volterra.

At last we located an establishment which provides good local fare, at a reasonable price, served with eager hospitality. The large number of locals eating here are testament to the quality. We ate here twice, impressed both times by the quality of the cooking and the generosity of the portions. The staff are delightfully patient with tourists and the menu... More

This taverna is located just outside Porta San Giovanni, so we had a lovely early evening walk along the old walls in order to get there from the centre of town. We'd had a couple of rather 'posh' meals on previous nights and fancied somewhere a bit more simple and this place hit the spot. It does very decent pizzas... More

We had a very good meal Made of pizza, the best I had in Italy. The restaurant was full of Italians that Made us understood we were in a good place. At the end a wonderful tiramisu', a real homemade tiramisu'.

Lovely restaurant, friendly waiter and delicious pizza. We didn't have the pasta but it looked and smelt delicious as it came out of the kitchen. Would highly recommend.

This place came highly recommend by friends and we highly agree. We were in San Gimignano for four nights and we had dinner there for three out of the four as it was that good. Food we would recommend would be the penne pasta with chili oil and garlic, traditional spaghetti bolognese and if you are really hungry and you... More

Well located outside the main walls of San Gimignano (near parking) with outside seating framed by hedges. Our food was really good but the service was slow for us tourists but we observed that locals received their meals much quicker. This is a short sighted approach as we are staying in the area for one week with the possibility of... More

Just on the outskirts of the San Gimignano walls, this is an ideal restaurant for a pizza. I have visited the place twice and both times happy with my food. Pretty basic, decor inside, outside a little more appealing, however the pizzas are pretty good and good value for money.

arriving in San Gimignano a bit after noon, very hard to find a paring space, weary of being abused in any of the intra-murros eating places, decided to go for lunch in this Taverna literally no more than 50 meters away frm one the entrance gates to the lovely city of San Gimignano. apart from a timing misunderstanding (seemed they...
