We visited Peruca a Tuesday evening in July - a family of three. The location and interior of Peruca is a bit doll compared to other places in this picturesque town. The menu has a wide span and prices are reasonable. We shared six dishes all very tasty. Both pasta, vegetables, meat and sauces were good. A little minus for... More

We loved the food and wine. The pasta was beautifully cooked. Leave room for desserts. Best Italian food we have had on holiday so far. Family business adds extra touch.Went twice on two consecutive days.

My husband and I were visiting San Gimignano on our honeymoon. We didn't do too much research ahead of time as far as restaurants go (hello, wedding planning!), but while we were in town, we turned to Yelp and TA for restaurant recommendations and this one came highly recommended. All reviews said to make a reservation, but since we couldn't... More

Best gnocchi I had all trip. Quiet little place. Pici with boars meat was my wife's favorite dish. We ate there two nights in a row because the first night was so great.

Arrived without a reservation when the doors opened at 7:00PM. We were seated immediately. Our server was efficient but lacked that Italian warmth that we came to love from the locals in this area. The food arrived timely, presented beautifully, and tasted amazing! The food was some of the best we ate while visiting this area. However, a little effort... More

Went to this restaurant on a recommendation from our someone at our hotel. Liked that it wasn't in the middle of a busy square. It was very busy. The hostess (I think it may have been the owner) was very friendly and accommodating as we did not have a dinner reservation. Our server was kind of stand offish but no... More

We'd come back here in a heartbeat. Delicious pasta, great salad, great bread, great wine. Staff was super friendly and service was great. All this tucked away in a hidden corner of San Gimignano.

The food was way better than the service. Attention Ivan by waiters was minimal. Not even a smile! Both the food and the desert were excellent. This is one of the first places in Italy where we never saw a smile.

Nice, atmospheric setting in the cavernous vaulted restaurant room. Probably better as a cosy winter option than in the summer when I would prefer something outside or a bit less claustrophobic. Its very touristy although there were some italian families eating. We had some nice food (and saw some very nice looking options on other tables) but I was disappointed... More

My wife and I booked a table for 7:30pm on our last night in San Gim. (a Monday night). When we arrived our table was the only one not occupied - the place was packed - not an Italian diner in site, I would say 90% of the diners were from the USA. The food was good (not great) and... More
