I did a quick google before going to San Gimignano and Cum Quibus seemed to rate quite highly but it was a billion times better than we expected. It was an incredibly, wonderful surprise. The food was just sensational. My partner and I had the tasting menu with about 6 courses, all of which were equally delicious. The flavour pairings... More

We ate at Cum Quibus the first night we stayed in San Gimignano at the recommendation of our hotel, which made us a reservation. At first glance, we thought felt shuffled aside since we sat in a corner by the front door. That concern was soon assuaged when we were presented with an amuse bouche by a lovely server who... More

I have to say that we were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. We ate here two years ago and it was amazing then, but they have changed the menu and have gone very upmarket. On our last visit I had the wild boar stew and was so looking forward to having this again but it wasn't on... More

We've just eaten in Cum Quibus, we did not have a reservation, but it was recommended by our bespoke B&B and we knocked on the door of the restaurant at 6:55pm and managed to secure booking at 7pm. We sat in the courtyard which is very tasteful considering the small area, the service was very attentive and they delivered amuse-bouche... More

Following TripAdvisors advice, we went straight to Cum Quibus for lunch when arriving in San Gimignano. Located on a side street and somewhat anonymous, the inside is the opposite. Traditional Italian restaurant meets quirky design, and it turned out that the food is exactly the same. Traditional Italian cuisine is mixed with unexpected ingredients to form fantastic flavours. The presentation... More

Have the pigeon... Cooked three ways it is the best expression of pigeon I've ever had in Italy or in New York!! Far superior attention to detail than 99% of all restaurants in Italy. Also children friendly which was a pleasant surprise

A fabulous very modern take on Italian cuisine. From attentive and knowledgeable waiting staff who explained all courses to the beautifully presented and sublime dishes this was a dining experience not to be missed. Cum Quibus are proud and passionate about what they do and this showed from the moment we entered until we left with our complimentary bag of... More

Visited on the back of Tripadvisor reviews - very glad we did. Unprepossessing exterior and unfussy interior, we didn't realise we actually outside for a while - the courtyard being shielded by large covers. The cooking is really interesting with Tuscan touchstones but with some fascinating twists. Friendly staff and swift service. I won't go through all that we had,... More

Eating here was a highlight of our stay at Sam Gimignano. We booked in for the first night of our stay after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The service was attentive and thorough throughout the night and we were given little extras with our Tasting menu that just added that extra touch. The food was... More
