The place itself is pretty (although a bit warm if you're siting inside because there's no AC) and the food (primarily pizza) is good and plenty.
We went there with a group of 24 people (with a reservation of course) and the food arrived in...a timely fashion. Only complaint I have is the fact that we were unable to pay for exactly what we ate individually. Instead, the waiter split our combined bill (without asking) and announced it'd be 12€ per person. This gave him a nice 15€ extra because he rounded up...
And people gave additional tips because they weren't aware of this.
All in all is this a nice place to eat, but I would advise AGAINST going here as a group, if you don't want to leave slightly cheated.More
We went here years after our first experience in this place... unfortunately everything has changed for the worst.
The pizza is average, the mozzarella on the margherita is liquid. The ''Nonna Evelina'' was an arranged mix of stuff and it was not possible to get...a distinct flavor. The dessert (Catalan cream) was also average... but the worst part of the experience is related to the service: absolutely distracted. One guy was bringing stuff and throwing it on the table without uttering a single word. The other one was very distant, cold.
Also: they reserved us a table next to the thrash cans and the pizza delivery scooter parking which wasn't exactly the best place where to eat.More
Fantastic pizza with plenty of options. The value of the food was tremendous, a meal for two with shared started and alcoholic beverages was well under 50 euros.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, they even enjoyed a singsong in the kitchen. If I were...to return to Pisa, Martino would be a must-visit.More
Fresh ingredients water down the Dow of the pizza which could be more cooked. Waiters are attentive and kind, beware of the ventilation system: your clothes/hair will be impregnated with friend kitchen air!
I stayed in pisa for 2 days we googled good places to eat nearby and pizzeria martino came up so we went. Being italian ive eaten alot of pizzas in my life and i got to say this pizza was as good as the best...pizza i had in naples. It was incredible the chef was trained in naples and it shows beautiful pizzas with the freshest ingredients absolutely superb must go if in pisa.More
quite characteristic, old style environment, with the capability to eat outside (when I was there with friends, we preferred to eat inside as the evening was cool). A large variety of pizzas among which one can choose, and the quality is fine (the pizza-maker, though...not Italian, has well learned how to do something good) and quite generous the size. They need to vary the selection of bears and beverage. Price is average. The waiter should be cooler when he has a lot of people to serve (we were 15 people): it is unavoidable that times to order are longer than for a few people. However we did not need to wait a long time to have our selection and the taste was good.More
Pizzeria Martino is tucked away in a side street on the south side of the river. Inside or outside the atmosphere is very relaxed and the food is ideal for the family so nice pizza for the children and superb "Antipasti dela Casse" (per 2...persone) for adults. The house red is a nice Chianti so don't bother with the White. This is the Chianti region after all. The service is friendly and not at all pushy as in some of the neighbouring cities.
This is the only Trip Advisor review we'll write for our trip here and is the only restaurant that we can 100% recommend to families. Just got the bill and it's just 45 Euros. Delighted, and slightly tipsy!More
I have been here with my friends and no one liked the pizza.
I've ordered a 4 fromaggi and it was not what i expected, the cheese seemed cheap and felt like rubber while chewing.
My frieds pizza had the same cheese in it even...if they ordered different.
Service was good and prices are pretty low.
People near us were enjoying their meal so probably it's not our kind of pizza.More
