For italy standards this an average restaurant which offers reasonable food for reasonable prices. I went here after seeing the reviews and 5 star ratings. If this place is a 5 star then ppl have no standards or know what a 5 star restaurant should offer

We arrived in Pisa looking for a spot of lunch and found La Buca - recommended by our airbnb host we weren't disappointed! 2 mains, a mixed salad and a bottle of wine came to €42, very much value for money. We both had ravioli and it was cooked to perfection!

This was recommended by our host on our first night in Pisa as it is walking distance from our apartment. We were tired and not too hungry but the pasta dishes we ordered were very tasty including the wild boar pasta! The restaurant looks quite formal but was fairly relaxed once seated. Wine was reasonably priced and overall, not bad... More

This restaurant was suggested to us by our host since it was close to our apartment. Food was delicious and abundant. Service was excellent and friendly. We couldn't get enough of this restaurant and kept returning to try different dishes. To top it all, prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go back should we be in Pisa again!

The restaurant is superb! You will find linen table cloths, superb place settings, and extensive menu, and a wonderful wine list. Although their primary emphasis is seafood, they have a wonderful selection chicken and beef entrees.

Food was well prepared and of excellent quality. The macaroni with pesto and the seafood risotto were plentiful and very tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly as was the fried shrimp, squid and eggplant. Generous portions and attentive service made this a great meal close to our hotel near the railroad station. Will definitely be going back in the future.

As they say in Italian, "si Mangia bene qui," you eat good here, and YOU DO!! I have finally decided to write a review of Buca. I've been working in Pisa for 6 years and ALWAYS come home to Buca. Living & eating on the road around the world for the last 30 years, I ask & require only a... More

It was late, I was tired and I'd just discovered that my hotel didn't actually have a proper restaurant so I was half-committed to grabbing nothing moire adventurous than a kebab when I spotted this restaurant. I'm glad I did. It is a traditional (and therefore authentic) restaurant which is overseen by a 'Mrs Overall' character who is probably the... More
