The bistro of my dreams is the little tiny restaurant; it’s the cute shop where you can go for a coffee or a glass of wine. It’s a place where you can eat the traditional Italian dish, sip a good wine and meet your people. It’s a place where you can chat while eating spaghetti, while learning secrets, sipping a “brunello”, or a grappa while listening to music or reading a book. Where love gets done and undone. And coffee. Where you’re early and it gets late. Here you are in my home. You are my guests and friends among friends. Here is my piano and my guitar, my books, my music; here’s the best recipe my mom gave me, and some biscotti and my grandpa’s Vinsanto wine.

Went twice!

Very good food, relaxed environment and the best Tiramisu! Plenty of locals around. Not very expensive, certainly a very good cost/quality ratio. Thanks I. for your sympathy and recommendations.

This lovely restaurant is located on a pleasant little piazza just off the Corso Italia, the main drag from the train station to the river. Our delightful, multilingual waiter (Flemish, French, English) took perfect care of us. The food was excellent - porcini flan, parmigiana, hot seafood soup (not a soup but an assortment of shellfish, delicious nonetheless), porcini flan,... More

We found this restaurant as it was listed as being close to the Hotel Bologna. It is located in a piazza just off the Corso Italia. As a previous reviewer mentioned, we had the John Dory and I had the pork with a gorgonzola sauce. I also had the most unusual salad as a side dish which consited of mixed... More

We spotted this restaurant from a nearby bar and went in. Although there was a graduation party the service was not affected. The waitress was bubbly and very friendly, I had the pork fillet which was fantastic and my fiance had the Jon dory which she raved about. For dessert, the waitress recommene the tiramasou and omg, this was the... More

We went to Il Bistrot this evening after reading nice reviews and where very disappointed. We ordered starters and pasta dishes. The food was Ok, although too salty to my taste. But we had to wait almost for an hour for our pasta after we finished the starters. No explanations were given. They were not particularly busy either. Just bad... More

The restaurant is facing a nice square Piazza Chiara Gambacorti. We picked it considering Tripadvisor rating and our expectations were well rewarded. Good food with non-typical interpretation, good wine selection. A charming waitress (said she also came from Belgium) helped out to choose dishes and offered a free glass of limoncello to complete this nice dinner. I would really recommend... More
