Stopped here for lunch on a hot July day as there's a nice breeze and it's off the main streets. Very attentive service from the young man but as larger groups arrived he was left very busy. Large 12" pizzas served within 10 mins. However they were slightly undercooked and greasy ;but we lacked the Italian to ask them to... More

Attentive and efficient waiting staff and delicious food. We had pizzas, pasta and one of the daily specials - deep fried courgette flowers. Really amazing. No 5 stars because the toilets were not as clean and tended as they could be. Worth seeking out in this quiet piazza.

Spent 2 weeks in Lucca and the quality of the eateries in this beautiful town is outstanding. Had lunch with friends at his trattoria one sunday and it was my favourite meal, simply outstanding. I tried the trippa and the roast lamb with potatoes - just perfect. Drinks are good prices, as is the food. Tried to go back a... More

just a down to earth eat and eat well, price ratio bang on, and service well balanced, not invasive nor rushed. Food well served, detailed and well presented. Price I would consider it as fair, and of good value, and the fact that locals are also sitting there, does say quite a lot. Overall well worth it, and booking a... More

As always- get in early and get a good service. Small from the outside - great on the inside. Lokal food at its best.

Made a day trip to Lucca and looked for a place to have a relaxed lunch. Nestled in the Piazza Bernardini, we came upon this trattoria. The menu, cleanliness, and delightful outdoor tables called to us. As soon as Martina began to serve us, we felt very welcome. The dishes we sampled were genuine regional fare, prepared and presented with... More

The newly established owners of Nero di Seppia are a beautiful young couple that have just opened their restaurant. The husband is an amazing chef for his young age and Martina, his beautiful wife, is a wonderful and thoughtful hostess that made us feel so comfortable. During our dinners (we ate there 3 times), my friend kept saying, "I'm so... More

This is a small eating place, but a nice menu. I had the steak Florentine, or Classico Florentina, min. 500 grams, and it was done to perfection (for me) very rare. My wife had two starters as a main meal, melon and

Slightly off the main shopping street with a nice Al fresco outdoor dining. Good pizza and lasagna. We were recommended it by the lady that manages Il Duomo Residences and it's just a short walk away. V convenient and reasonably priced

We have eaten lasagne and tagliatelle with pomodoro and basalico. These were simply perfect. The pasta was as good as it has to be and the pomodoro with basalico was delicious. We were satisfied. Many thanks!
