Lovely atmosphere especially inside, beautiful plates and the most incredible home made bread!!! Food was lovely, we had pork neck for main and Primi Piatti pasta to start, pastas were lovely, pork neck was absolutely brilliant!!! The fried potatoes were so so so good!!! If...I were to go again I would get the beef option instead as highly recommended and looked great.More

We stumbled across this little gem of a restaurant by accident and found it to be outstanding. We had the steak and salad, the fish of the day for the main, stuffed zucchini flowers for entre and a cherry panna cotta for dessert. The atmosphere...in the restaurant was surprisingly comfortable, eclectic and friendly. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and the food just outstanding. The menu included some local delicacies and some more unusual items like heart ragout. Full marks !!!More

Great food and lovely setting, especially in the summer with the vibes of traditional Italian piazzas. The food is tasty, fresh - good for both seafood and meat!! Prices are reasonable considering it is located in Lucca’s city center. Good spot for a summer dinner...with friends!!More

I have been a couple of time before writing this review. The owner and the staff are tremendously friendly, really helping explaining the menu and the ingredients. Sitting outside is very nice especially in June / beginning of July when it’s not too hot. I...loved the whole grain spaghetti with salty ricotta and dry tomatoes as well as the linguine with vongole! I found the salmon with cream cheese a bold choice for a restaurant in Lucca, a very small and provincial town. The crostata with albicocche is delicious and reminded of my childhood during those timeless Italian summers. I will go Back as often as possible !More

Just sat down...quartino of vino roso. Beef with a veggie that I’m not sure of but it is wonderful. Very good green salad which is different and excellent. All Italians sitting near me. Perfect! Couldn’t understand a word my server said but it was no...problem and she is perfectly pleasant. Pretty much pointed to what the Italian couple sitting next to me was having!!More

Having spent countless years travelling up and down Italy and many weeks in Lucca it came as a huge surprise to find a restaurant with a welcome as friendly as a bear trap. We were refused tap water (I am an environmentalist and object to...the carbon footprint of bottled water). We were left stranded outside despite arriving early for our booking. The atmosphere between the owner and her partner was glacial and when I asked to pay the bill I was treated with rudeness and disrespect. Enjoying a good meal is as much about service as good cooking. There are lots of fantastic restaurants in Lucca so give this one a missMore

Wow! The food here is incredible! The scamerita di maiale is ridiculously good. Definitely worth eating light throughout the day to save space (and money) for this meal. Well worth the splurge!

It has been a year: we dropped in one evening at nine as they were closing for a drink...Kathy told me she had never had Sambuca...wow! We stood at the bar for her first one and promised to come back for dinner...the staff AND the...owner were great and while i did not get to have one of those fish heads to work on, WE WILL BE BACK IN A FEW WEEKS!More

Our hotel suggested this restaurant, and it was just around the corner from us. So friendly, apparently a female chef. We loved it! I had the pasta with tomatoes which was one of the best pastas I have EVER eaten. My fiancé had the 'white...fish from the sea-Ricola' which was absolutely delicious. Dessert was fantastic too! We had local wine which was excellent! Highly recommend!!!More
