We visited here as part of a food tour. The coffee was excellent and the staff very friendly. Very atmospheric.

Dropped in for a drink and all you can eat cold buffet. The range of available drinks was very good and all the food was tasty. Great atmosphere: most of the other customers were young people. The service was very friendly and welcoming.

A landmark during my shopping afternoons in Florence. Wide choice of wines, teas. You can sit or have a quick stay, always a welcoming place.

We had coffee here in the afternoon (great coffee, friendly service), and came back for a fun (and very inexpensive) dinner buffet - all you can eat cold buffet with some very interesting dishes and a beverage included, in a laid back, casual environment. Definitely recommended.

During our 5 nite stay in Florence we enjoyed our daily cappuccinos at Chiaroscuro. A charming and lovely cafe serving a great selection of fresh and delicious pastries and cornettos. Some mornings I would have 2 cappuccinos and two pastries as they were so tasty!!

Stopped here during a food tour and tasted two types of coffee. The coffee was fine and that this place was able to put up with a group of 12 plus the guide showed their tolerance. We were sat towards the back but the front of the shop is interesting with a display of the cofffee etc.

Our group of 12 stopped in on a food tour on a Saturday morning for coffee. We sampled two different kinds. Very nice coffee shop in Firenze.

As I don't drink coffee (atrocious I know) I went for a hot chocolate. It puts British hot chocolate to shame big time. I could practically stand the spoon up in it. The atmosphere is busy and I felt like a real local, despite my very poor Italian. Excellent spot, and I shall be returning.

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
