Booked ahead and went for the set lunch option. Food was excellent and the 4 glasses of wine matched the food perfectly. The atmosphere is very relaxed but their love and knowledge of wine comes across in a very unassuming way. I would highly recommend this for anyone coming to Florence that enjoys their wine!

Very good wines, and excellent knowledge by stagge but for the price I would hesitate to eat there at night, as we did. It might be worth booking for the degustation lunch but the degustation menu is not available at night. Don't try and go without booking.

This place a good for wine lovers, good wine selection and they describe you the wine very well. Less to eat more to drink this place is nice. Do make reservations as its always packed with not much seats. A bit expensive but worth to visit.

Our number one stop when we visit Florence. From the fantastic wines, great food and some of the friendliest service from the owners and staff makes our trip extra special every time. A few years ago we came here for a gastro feast of wine and food as part of the 'Dinner with an Owner' and vowed to do it... More

How do you choose a place for lunch in a city with so much choice? Well do some research and don't just go into any one of the thousands of places in this great city. I had cut out an article named "36 hours in Florence" and one of the suggestions was this place. Right opposite the Plaza Di Pitti... More

We stopped here for a little wine tasting before we went for dinner. The place is quite small but with an elegant decoration and atmosphere. We had some very nice wine. Of course they were expensive but they usually are in a wine bar.

Description
Thank you for your interest in Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina.

We are a cozy wine shop and wine bar located in Piazza Pitti just across from the Pitti Palace. Our mission is to select the very best territorial, cultural and traditional wines produced in Tuscany and in Italy. Focusing on small production, high-end wines that are difficult to find anywhere else. Our options by the glass strongly represent this very specific selection. Our goal is to inform our clients of the wines and wine making process of Italy.

We have a limited but quite special food selection prepared daily by our chef. We offer an a la carte menu featuring Tuscan appetizers, cheeses, charcuterie and hand made first courses. Still, our dishes are designed to compliment your experience with our wines. We are not a restaurant with a full dining menu. Our kitchen is open from 1:00pm to 3:30 pm then again from 7:30 to 10:30. We are closed on Tuesdays.

Apart from a la carte dinning we are now proud to offer Dinner with an Owner. A truly unique experience awaits for wine lovers in Florence. One of the three owners of Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina will personally guide you through an extensive tasting of our selection of small production, high end Italian wines. Each of the three gentlemen are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Italian wines. Through the course of the tasting you will have an opportunity to learn from them about the history, culture, processes and traditions of wine making in Italy.

Your host will spend the evening working with your specific tastes to create a personalized tasting that can accommodate every wine lover, from the expert to the novice. Accompanied by a customized, tasting menu created by our Chef.

This private tasting is extremely exclusive and as such only ONE is offered per night, on Friday and Saturday nights ONLY. Tastings commonly last from 3 to 4 hours, although depending on the clients they have been known to last even longer. As such, tasting reservations are recommended for 7:00pm (19:00). Reservations are required AT LEAST 3 days in advance, based on availability. Upon reservation any and all food specifications must be confirmed such as allergies, food intolerances, vegetarians or vegans. Only ONE menu may be offered for the entire table, so any and all food restrictions will need to be applied to the meal for everyone at the table.

Dinner with an Owner is 140,00 euro per person which will include all food and wine. A keepsake copy of your customized menu with wines will be signed by the owner and given to you at the end of the night.

We also offer The Wine Club Tasting which is offered exclusively to those clients who are interested in joining The Wine Club. Created to offer clients an opportunity to discover the types of wines that make it into the selections each year and to decide what package best suits their personal taste and needs.

During the tasting clients will sample red wines that are representative of the type of wines that are chosen for The Wine Club Selections. Featuring small production, high end Italian wines and when available, our own private labels. The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of local Italian cheeses.

We are happy to offer the tasting complementary upon the completion of The Wine Club membership contract. If you would like a copy of the packet and contract for your country of residence it can be found on our website on The Wine Club Page or please let us know and we would be happy to email one to you.

The Wine Club Tasting is offered exclusively in the afternoons from 4pm to 6pm and reservations are highly recommended. The Tasting is complementary for 2 people per signed membership contract.

Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina is proud to present The Wine Tasting Lunch. A tasting menu comprised of four wines and accompanied by a three course lunch. One of the gentlemen will assist you to select the ideal wine to pair with your dishes and to please your palate from their ample selection of Bubbles, Whites and Reds. The three courses made by our Chef will change frequently and feature fresh, seasonal ingredients. You will have your choice from 2 options for appetizer, first course and dessert.

The Wine Tasting Lunch is 35,00 euro per person which will include all food and wine. Reservations are not required but are highly recommended. Our kitchen is open for lunch from 1:00pm to 3:30pm daily, except on Tuesdays as we are closed.

For reservations please let us know what date, time, name, how many people and what type of reservation you are interested in making; an a la carte lunch or dinner, a reservation for The Wine Club Tasting, Dinner With An Owner or The Wine Tasting Lunch. We are closed On Tuesdays all day.

We thank you so much for expressing your interest in us and we do very much hope to get to see you at Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina soon!
