This was the best meal we had in Florence! The bruschetta was the best I've ever had and was followed by veal in a mushroom sauce which was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient and gave us a complimentary drink. The restaurant was 'typically italian' and seemed to be family run.

This place has sentimental value to us. It is our stand by. It is in a touristy area, but lovely and cheap. I usually get the pizza, which is huge! (Although to split is costs an extra 1.50 Euro). Always nice service. We also had a salad and spicy spaghetti, they were good. This is my comfort food place in... More

This was a fantastic restaurant. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful with translating the menu from italian to english. I had tagliatelle with pomodoro sauce and my boyfriend had tagliatelle with bolognese sauce and both dishes were excellent! I would definitely visit again!

We arrived on Friday around 6, we were 2 of about 8 in the restaurant. Food was served quickly which was great since we were hungry! We had mussels to start that tasted good in a really nice sauce and then I had fried seafood and chips and my partner had spaghetti with clams. The food was good but there... More

We had an excellent lunch here! Gusto Leo had high chairs for our kids and a kid friendly staff. The mussels (cozze) were tasty! And fresh bread for the table!

Friendly staff and good location. The food is mediocre and ordering one course will leave you hungry.

Spending 3 months in Florence gave me the opportunity to do my own pizza tour! Gusto Leo has the best food with reasonable prices, perfect location and the nicest employees! I highly recommend them! I went there many times during my 3 months in Florence and was always more than happy with the food and experience!

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
