Just round the corner from our hotel, but we would have walked a considerable distance to eat here, which we did two nights out of our three in Firenze. We had the steak with Parmesan shavings which was seared, and cooked to perfection. This was also the only restaurant we found that sold 66cl beer (under €5). Friendly staff and... More

We had a coffee in the morning. It was so good we returned for a late lunch of bruschetta. Very tasty. Staff were pleasant and service good.

Nice little restaurant which we found by accident. Very helpful english speaking staff who are very attentive often asking if we need anything and if everything was ok with our food which it was. Nice bread to start a Carraf of readable priced wine. We ordered two pasta dishes one with shrimps and the other one with meat followed by... More

We went here on the 1st night. We were staying for 4 days. We visited the restaurant twice which is rare for us as we like to have different experiences. The al arriabatta is amazing and the service fantastic. We both manage busy restaurants in central London and look for best when we dine out. This place did not disappoint.... More

This was the best meal we had in Florence! The bruschetta was the best I've ever had and was followed by veal in a mushroom sauce which was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient and gave us a complimentary drink. The restaurant was 'typically italian' and seemed to be family run.

This place has sentimental value to us. It is our stand by. It is in a touristy area, but lovely and cheap. I usually get the pizza, which is huge! (Although to split is costs an extra 1.50 Euro). Always nice service. We also had a salad and spicy spaghetti, they were good. This is my comfort food place in... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
