This is one of the few places in Florence, where you can also sit down for more than five minutes without having to spend a fortune for a small coffee.... The icecream is simply splendid (and also famous), but it unfortunately also has its price....

We came across the Badiani by chance having walked to the football stadium and decided to stop in here on the way back. We ended up going a couple time while we stayed in Florence. It was a 25 min walk from our hotel and...More

Our daughter is studying abroad in Florence and in a home stay with an Italian family. They have won many awards for their gelato. This is where the locals go! There are no air holes in this gelato, it is in pure form, with a...More

This is a lovely cafe. The pastries and coffee are very reasonably priced and good quality. The service is a little confusing though. On my first two visits we were asked to pay at a separate till after we had ordered and on the third...More

Good gelato, but not the best gelato in town as it's advertised. The owner is very kind, but the people who work there have a snobbish way of talking to you, so didn't feel very comfortable there. Also it's sweets and salty products are nice...More

Badiani has one of the best gelatos in Florence: pistacchio, dolcevita and nocciola are absolutely great. The best is the "cremino al pistacchio" which unfortunately they do not make all the time. Do not take the cheesecake flavor, do not come to Italy for that.

I've been there a couple of times and the flavour that is definitely worth a try is the Chocolate Mousse - lighter than their usual base, good balance of chocolate flavour and not overly sweet. They are famous for La dolce vita, however I might...More

We visit this cafe every year in the Christmas period and have never yet been disappointed withe the quality of the coffees and the patisseries available. Despite the fact it is a little way out of the centre of Florence it will not disappoint. It...More

After a healthy lunch at a nearby restaurant we felt that we could indulge in a small ice cream. I had chocolate and orange and yogurt with pomegranate. My husband had chocolate and stracciatalle. We were both very happy and declared the ice cream to...More
