Absolutely amazing…. Bistecca Fiorentina - Unreal. Caprese salad - best ever but I don’t understand why. The chips were hand cooked, superb and the pasta was perfect. If you want a tourist trap then this is not the place… It’s authentic Italian and now my...favourite restaurant in Florence as I’m still dreaming about the steak. Lots of Italians dining there and was a recommendation from our concierge as their favourite restaurant… There are no English translations for the menu but I’m familiar with basic Italian and the staff are lovely and helpful … The owner looks like his face will crack if he smiles but he’s actually hilarious! Not to be missed…More

The place is located near the center of Florence but it is not too busy. There are not as many tourists wondering around ( that was what I liked ) A place for locals and the chef is a true Italian. The staff members are...friendly. It is a good idea to ask for a recommendation. It is possible to sit outside this is what I did and you should tooMore

A local Florentine who we met recommended this quaint Trattoria. Food was very good and the service even better. The majority of customers were locals which was a good sign. Sliced Steak was great and our pasta dishes all tasted homemade. Location is a short...mile walk from downtown and away from the “touristy” placed. Definitely worth the walkMore

Warmly welcomed and taken to our table for two. We dined early without reservation but the restaurant became crowded soon after. Menu is in Italian but we can navigate that. Server was eager to assist with dishes unfamiliar to us. Vino Rosso Della casa was...very good and inexpensive for 1/2 liter. Entree’s were very good as was the dessert. Orrichietti with sausage and chicory was exceptional. Will visit again during our extended stay in the Oltrarno neighborhood.More

Rude and stressy staff. Don’t go here- Macdonalds would have been moore calmer. The food didn’t taste much either, it was our worst experience in a restaurant.

We visited early on Saturday night for dinner & were lucky to get a table. Friends who lived in Florence recommended this eatery. Food was great & not expensive. We each had starters & a pasta course, house wine & sparkling water & the bill...was under €50 including covers. The Caprese salad & Crostini starters were both very good. The pappardelle al cinghiale came on the bone & was very tasty. The trattoria was very busy & my only criticism was that service was a bit too quick. It was Saturday night & I think they wanted our table soon again.More

It would be a mistake to expect a warm welcome from the ‘patron’ but there was plenty to make up for this. The rest of the staff were charming, helpful and DO speak quite enough to English. The restaurant was full on a Thursday night...and we were wise to book a table which was straight forward but a little knowledge of Italian certainly helped. The food from the ‘handwritten’ menu was really very good and the mozzarella was, in my view, the best that I had ever tasted. The zuppa con vongole was delicious and the calf’s liver really excellent. The veal was tender and the wine good and well priced. I very much hope to be in Florence again, perhaps next year, and I would definitely call in to the Trattoria del Carmine againMore

This was a convenient restaurant to visit as it's just metres away from Cappella Branacacci. The food was good and even though the staff didn't speak English fluently, they were helpful and friendly. There was a good choice available on the menu and I enjoyed...lunch here.More

This was our last day in Florence and i was really hoping for a lovely dinner with our friends and family. First thing - no english menu, eye rolling waiter when we didnt know what to choose. Face mask under his mouth all the time!...I had to ask twice to change my cuttlery as the knife was dirty.. again didn’t get apology, but a funny look. Drinks - we had to pour ourselves.. No service you would expect in a restaurant. Food - very blunt, with no taste, pesto tagliatele we had to return as it was really really bad, starter of a chicken polo salad and Buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes was edible, mozzarella was Nice, but again, Nothing special, very avarage, not worth the money. I had the porcini tagliatele and my friend funghi risotto - well, it was the worst pasta dish i had in Italy and the risotto was also a dissapointement. They could see we didnt enjoy it so tried to save the situation with free shot of spirit for our husbands, which was Nice of them - but again, i would not return. Sorry.More

We went to this restaurant because it was very close to the place we were staying. The ambience is very simple and homey as was the food, simple italian food and good. The service was regular and we were treated well.

Went for the second time to this restaurant at lunchtime. Fine dining it isn't. But a great buzz, solid food at very fair prices. Barely a tourist in the very packed out restaurant (13:00 on a Sunday).

We were already seated when we were asked to move to another table to accommodate an Italian couple. The entire menu is in Italian. The waiter had little patience when we asked for an explanation of the main course items. The food was mediocre, tasteless but...expensive. There is also a 2 euro surcharge per person! We were charged for wine we did not get. No dessert menu or coffee was offered. We were rushed out, table cleared while still drinking a glass of water. TERRIBLE STAY AWAY!!More

Averige food, but really rude and impolite service. Plenty of good restaurants in the neighbourhood, so I advice to go elsewhere.
