Great Mexican food

I have been to Tijuana twice within the last 2 weeks and its fantastic and I have recommended it to friends. The food itself is very traditional Tex-Mex food, and is excellent, one of the best burritos I have had. The guacamole is also out of this world! The drink selection is really great too, I... read more

My daughter studied for a semester in Florence and went to this place every Monday night. The thought of eating Mexican food in Florence made me doubt her sanity, so we went while we were there. Great Sangria, Margaritas, and Cosmopolitans. They were large which helps explain why college kids went there. But the food was good as well. Their... More

I love Tijuana. It's so refreshing to be able to appreciate non-Florentine food in the old Renaissance city! The ingredients are good quality, the preparations usually made with care and the frozen Margarita is the best one you'll ever drink. Bad note: their prices get higher every year. My favourite go-to dish (three tostaditas sampler) was 9 euro a few... More

Service was very poor. My meal arrived before my friend's food, and we waited a few minutes before asking the staff. Despite the fact that there was loads of waiters it was really difficult to get their attention. It was clear that my friend's order had not even been started and it was another 10 minutes before her food arrived.... More

I've spent the last two months in this city, and I would rate Tijuana as a very good Mexican restaurant. The drinks are good, the portions are large, and they make every effort to be as authentic as possible. Granted, they don't great you with big baskets of chips and salsa, but for Italy, they are superb. Every time I... More

The atmosphere was nice and that's the only good thing I have to say about this place. The waitresses were not good, we had at least four different ones and none of them knew what the others were doing. They kept trying to bring dishes to our table after we already had our food and did not know where the... More

ok, it was noisy but that means a lot of people having fun, right? Happy hour goes from 6-8 so half price frozen margaritas all round. Or Capirenyas, if you prefer? Great food, great drinks and friendly helpful staff.

The decor keeps you interested while waiting the short time for your meal to arrive. Tostadas were great. The wife tried and enjoyed the chili chocolate meal. Prickly Pear Marguarita was brilliant. The Sour Mojito had way too much sugar. Why is it so hard to make a cocktail that isn't full of sugar? By 8:15pm the place was so... More

OK, it's not authentic Tex/Mex, but it's pretty good for being in the middle of Italy. If you want it spicy, I'd suggest getting a side of one of their many sauces. We ordered a side of the chipotle sauce and it had just the right amount of heat for us. The chicken burritos were tasty and well filled. The... More

The decor in the restaurant is good, very Mexican looking. However I went to order something and the waiter said they didn't serve that at this time! I was disappointed and think he should have told us before we decided what we wanted. When we got the food it definitely wasn't worth the price of €11.50 each! The food was... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
