Great view, good food

My girlfriend took me here. After a steep climb up the hill (you can take the bus too) you're treated to a magnificent view of the valley, with good food and wine to accompany it all.

Beautiful room with a view of olive trees orchards, vineyards, high above Florence. Family owned restaurant and shop serving outstanding Tuscan cheeses, pasta, sauces, and the BEST Tiramsu, more like a hot fudge sundae, ever!!! Taxi up and walk down! Unforgettable experience.

I have traveled to many parts of the world... but this was my absolutely favorite restaurant! It is off the beaten path from many of the tourist areas of Florence. The waiters and all support staff were welcoming from the point of arrival. We actually did not have reservations...which was a problem because they were packed with patrons. But...they found... Omero's, as usual, was excellent today. It was so perfect that I havent even finished eating, yet I just HAD to write this review. Whenever I go out, I truly expect to eat better than at home and that is no easy feat! Here at Omero's it happens everytime. Also, the service is impeccable. Gianni is the most courteous waiter... This typical Tuscan trattoria is definitely fantastic. Great and professional staff, food is delicious - try the Penne strascicate- and don't miss the home made desserts! They have also a good wine selection, our favorite wine is a Bolgheri red wine.

Average and overpriced food! The fried chicken was undercooked, and they priced a plate with 6 slices of prosciutto crudo at 19€. At least pasta plates are good.

Me and my husband had dinners at Omero 2 times. Of all food we liked most pasta with truffles and florentian steak! Also sweets very very nice! We had a cheesecake and chocolate cake. Very tasty bread. Of the waiters we liked very much Gianni, after the first dinner we liked him very much, became friends, so we came for... More

A superb dinner with friends. My steak was perfect, charred on the outside and soooo pink on the inside. Service was quick efficient and charming. If only this restaurant was closer to home.

The view here from the restaurant over the olive groves is delightful, the service was charming and the pasta, in particular, was very good. You could certainly take a taxi but a pleasant daytime experience would be to walk up from the bus stop on Viale Galileo, and/or to walk back down through Arcetri and the Oltrarno. I agree that... Was our least impressive dinner during stay in Florence. May be it is better in summer evenings when you can also enjoy a view. Anyway - the meal was very mediocre, but wine recommendation was what made me really sad... Not worth leaving Florence where all other our choices was much better.
