Had a late dinner here on the plaza outdoor seating, very nice. Service was good and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced

We dropped in for lunch on the advice of our tour guide (Julia), she claimed that Boccadama had great lasagna. She was right, the lasagna was excellent as was the Spaghetti Carbonara and the local Chianti. Service was qick and friendly and the prices were very reasonable, especially given their prime location.

Went here for lunch when we were walking round Florence. We had a glass of Prosecco each and shared a rustic pizza. The drink was quickly served as was the pizza. Both were fine and tasty but lacked the wow factor which would elevate it to five star.

We'd been recommended this restaurant by some locals, and weren't disappointed. Arriving for a late lunch we were lucky to get an indoor window seat from which we could watch the constantly interesting passing tour groups and others, as well as admire the blue Florentine sky above the rooftops while waiting for our order. The Tuscan wine selected was excellent... More

The setting in Piazza Santa Croces divine. Outside is nice but inside is very quaint too. The lasagne was crazy good. The red house wine was paired beautifully. Florence is a wonderful place to visit and Boccadama is a must forlunch or dinner.

This place was so busy but if you are able to get a table you will not be disappointed. The service is excellent and so very fast. Had soup, a pasta dish and then a very naughty chocolate dessert with coffee and wine. Great value and the waiters are the stars. So friendly and well presented.

Great location by Santa Croce. My wife and I both started with caprese (tomatoes with mozzarella and arugula, or rocket as they call it in Europe), and then she had pasta while I had what they called peasant soup with ceci (ceci are chick peas). The mozzarella in the caprese did not have much flavor, and the balsamic vinegar on... More

I visited the Santa Croce Church and when i left it was lunch time. So I so this place, with big umbrellas and tables on the square, full of people (locals and tourists) and decided to have lunch there. The service was good and the food was not bad, but also there was nothing special about it. What I experimented... More

I agree with other reviewers (Alexandra S), incredible location and ambiance. However, the food is mediocre. The bean soup was good but the Tuscan chicken breast was clearly previously frozen, thawed then cooked (that perfectly flat shape). The vegetables were steamed - no flavour. My partner had the stewed beef and it was salty, which other people had noted. Such... More

We had four pasta meals, all excellent, salads were exceptional with the fenal and orange truly outstanding. Nice choice for low key, classic Italian pasta away from the center square commotion.
