What a wonderful way to celebrate thanksgiving abroad. The atmosphere, art and staff were so inviting. The meal - heavenly!

Very poor service and long wait between courses. We waited a good ten minutes before even being given the menus and then another 10 for someone to take our order. Ordered Parma ham to start which was nice. We then waited another 30 minutes before the main course arrived. My wife ordered tagiatelle al pomodoro but they bought tagiatelle al... More

Although this place is recommended by the locals, it feels more like one of those tourist traps. We ordered a steak (fiorentina) and asked for suggestions to combine a good local wine. But they did not seem to have good knowledge of wine since they kept suggesting a wine that needs to be opened beforehand - at least 45 minutes... More

Wonderful Trattoria, always consistent, very traditional cuisine and decor. Lovely atmosphere. My favorite dish is the very simple white beans with tuna, my husband loves anything fried and they do an especially nice fresh porcini mushroom salad in October.

Went twice during our stay! Make sure to try their chicken curry with chutney! They have good fish too!

With a varied menu of pastas and main, this traditional but creative restaurant delighted with every course. Cozy and quaint, the decor was standard, and the staff professional (though not overtly friendly). A great spot!

Very welcoming traditional Tuscan trattoria. Love the fact they serve their own products like Olive oil etc. Starters were served quickly and were very tasty, Bresaola, insulate Caprese and Parma ham. Mains were also great Ribbolita, Tagliatelle with Porcini was excellent. My only comment is that in other areas we would have had all this for €50-60 I walked out... More

Had a hugely satisfying dinner on our last night in Florence. The staff is outstanding and that was only slightly exceeded by the quality of the dishes. Clearly a favorite of locals -it was so warm that we felt a part of the extended family. Make a reservation so you won't be disappointed. (We made one for the same day... More

You need to make a reservation if you want to have lunch or dinner here as it is always very crowded. If a usual customer comes to the place, and even if you have a reservation, they will pass you and will be seated before you in front of your face. That’s the only bad point of the restaurant. If... The eight of us had Allen as our server (been there 27 years) and have a wonderful time and excellant food and wine. A definite stop if you are in Florence.

Staying in Pitti

Neighborhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
