Good aperitif

We stopped here for a bit of a post sightseeing wine and we were surprised to find that they have a selection of nibbles for free with your drink during happy hour. We had the house red which was very easy to drink. The service was very pleasant.

Great place for coffee and a snack in the afternoon after a day touring the city. Their panini are excellent! Also, free wifi!

We stayed at an apartment across the road and every morning bought coffees and croissants to go/take away. Wonderful coffee, charged at bar price of just 1.5 euro. Also very good croissants, although in the Italian style which is a bit too sweet for our taste. One evening we went back for a spritz, but at 6 euros was not... More

This little Caffe Ristorante is located near all the high end shopping in Florence in a narrow street called Via della Vigna Nuova. I was tired, my feet hurt like nothing else. Everyone in the group were in different stores or museums and I just wanted to go get a quick coffee "To Go" and meet back up with the... More

We just happened to come across the Caffe Amerini and had a wonderful experience. When we entered there were only 3 women in the restaurant having Aperol Spritz, the orange drink so many women in Italy drink. We ordered 2 sandwiches when we then realized they were having happy hour. The two bartenders were very friendly and helpful. We had... More

During our first visit, we were greeted by friendly staff members by the counter and it was easy to communicate with them in English (when ordering food). For our second visit (since it's a rainy day) we decided to go back to this cafe since it's near to our airbnb and it has a wide variety of sandwiches and snacks... More

I was dying for some coffee because it was kind of early in the morning and this place appeared out of heaven. Totally affordable (spent only €2.60), they offer pastries, sandwiches and coffee. Nice place to sit down with the newspaper, your favorite book or maybe a Firenze map-to plan the day. The staff is really friendly and won't tell... More

Caffe Amerini is my favorite caffè in florence. I have been going there almost every day for the past 4 months as I studied in a school across the street. The caffe menu is reasonably priced, espressos are great, and the food is on point. Staff are great guys who are always welcoming.

Amerini was just next to the palazzo I was staying in, so it was the natural choice for my first breakfast and daily caffeine fix. The little quaint caffe bursts with life as habituès come and go, shout their orders or just sit around sipping their coffee, reading their newspaper and talking to the guys behind the counter. It was... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighborhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
