We found this place when we were walking past. A small hole in the wall shop/restaurant. We were lucky enough to get one of the few tables and had a fantastic lunch of cheeses and cold meats. Generous portions and great value. Charming hosts continuing...a century old family business, with the meat sourced from their own local farm. Truly memorable.More

We stumbled on this purveyor of deliciousness by chance. And what a great chance of luck it was! We purchased a selection of meats and cheeses & wine to take back with us to our hotel. Everything was delicious and service was very kind. I...still think about this food and it's been years since we visited Italy to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. Funny thing though....when we were there and waiting to be served, there was great merriment made by the shop owners if a tourist wanted to take a photo of the shop. Instantly a spot light would be shone on the tourist's camera lens to ruin the photo. Not sure why the shop was so protective, but they were.More

There is nothing I can say that hasn’t been said already. We found this place by chance and am so glad we did. The warmest welcome, a cozy seat in a tiny shop/cafe and the greatest food. Very high quality meat, cheese, bread and vegetables...served simply as a platter. Contrary to some negative reviewers, there is a picture in the window showing exactly what a portion is and showing the price. It is totally worth it. We had a platter of 8 different meats, three cheeses, olives, suns dried tomatos, two kinds of bread , six glasses of chianti, 3 glasses of dessert wine and cantucci and it cost €80. It was totally worth the cost. The staff are so welcoming and happy to talk about the food they serve and they seem really proud and pleased to make such good food. Locals coming in and out too prove it’s not tourist trap. As others have said : get here, get some food and you won’t be disappointedMore

If you have only one meal in Florence and assuming you love cured meats make this your stop. The plate of assorted meats and cheeses produced by his son is outstanding and well worth the price. Great atmosphere and smiles all around. The close at...7 and cash only. Go.More

Singling out where to eat in Florence is not easy... so many options and one needs a bit of luck to find the right spot. We were lucky that after our visit to the Uffizzi gallery, whilst going around the side streets, we encountered a...small delicatessen and salumeria owned and run by the family. Ok, its a small place with not so great seating but the hospitality and food was second to none.... and we did not have to pay an arm and a leg for it! The range of Toscana delicacies is wide and Alessandro, the owner, is more than happy to help and recommend so as to make one's choice personalised. We took a mixed platter of cheese and salumi, and good house wine. I do recommend this place as it is so different from most of the commercial, overpriced eateries around central Florence.More

This is our third time at Alimentari Uffizi. It is a family run business from farm to shop with excellent products. You can purchase products to take away or eat in by savoring a cheese/meat platter and a glass of wine or two. A must...for travelers in Florence especially those looking for traditional Tuscan delightsMore

Walked in and ordered a charcuterie board and Chianti wine- nothing less than absolute perfection! My friend and I were the only English speaking people, everyone else was Italian, so you know the food/drinks are delicious! Everything super fresh, I highly recommend the la ribollito...(soup) on a cold day. Wish I would have come in earlier on my stay; but, will definitely be back on my next Florentine visit!!More

My husband and I were on vacation and were walking through the streets. We came upon this little deli with post it notes covering the walls. We decided to have small lunch instead of a huge panini. The wonderful owner brought us a delicious meat...and cheese board with all fresh meats and cheeses from his son's farm. We also had some wine. We can't stop talking about this place, its owner and especially the food! If we ever go back to Florence, we are going straight to the place!More

While all the other tourists waited in long lines around the corner waiting for the panini they had seen on social media--- our guide Francesco from Walks in Florence took us to this great family deli. It was wonderful!

Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere, we have been there multiple times over our 4 day trip to Florence and my in-laws have been visiting for years! Alessandro and his colleague are brilliant, kind and fantastic at what they do, and he remembered my in-laws from...their last visit pre-Covid. Their hospitality is second to none and we can’t wait to come back next year!More

Original, regional - and extremely friendly. Not only does the owner teach the culinary side of sandwitsches in Italian, they are also extremely good. Just sit down and enjoy a glass of vino and italian meat / cheese regional products. Perfect Italy.
